Serious question - like what?

Developer access to Siri, Maps and other APIs. Messaging improvements. Contextual keyboard suggestions. Faster response times in WatchOS. Improved Maps features. Siri on the Mac. Improvements in the Photos app. Improvements in TvOS. Auto Unlock on the Mac. Universal Clipboard. Desktop and Documents folders synchronization. The Home app. Phone interface integration for third party VoIP and messaging apps.

For someone at work who couldn't listen in --- My two questions: Is iOS getting dark mode? Are iMessages available to Android ? Thanks.

No, and no.

so they are becoming a software company... no hardware...pathetic. Interestingly didn't they criticse MS for being software whereas Apple was a hardware company that made software... what a let down. Nothing that major.

That XPS or surface pro look more tempting by the day.

it's a software developer event, why do you expect any hardware at all?
Do you watch Microsoft's Build event to see new XPS models?

But I agree that their hardware refresh cycle is pathetic (mini, pro, airport express, display).

Seemed like an impressive bunch of demonstrations today. iMessage seemed very powerful. I suspect there was some soiling of trousers in some parts thinking that people are going to spend more time on iMessage and less time using another chat service.

Other chat services are multi platform and don't assume that everyone has an Apple device, until Apple open up to Android, other services have nothing to worry about

what the HELL happened
What once was "big beautiful album art" is now small again.
And opaque beige is the new "vivid colors shining through".

I don't need a new OS. I would still be using Snow Leopard if it was possible. What I need is an updated Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro. How is it possible not upgrading these products for more than a year? Apple don't seem to give a damn about their pro users anymore who spent a fortune on hardware. This is so frustrating.

Snow Leopard? Man I love the more recent OS's with features taken from iOS. A big part of my day is spent on my personal social media pages, and the social integration with the last few OS versions on the Mac have been great for that.

Good god, this was an all time low for Apple.

It seems the demographic of Apple is now 10 year old girls. So much focus on Mickey Mouse watch faces and iMessage emojis. I don't know what to think really.

The only features I really liked were:

1. Apple Pay for macOS (Apple Pay won't be coming to Sweden in the near future)
2. Apple Maps improvements (...most of which won't be applicable in Sweden)

So, so about the new Photos and "Memories". Sure it looks nice when your photo album consists of beautiful vacation photos in nice weather. In the real world, where my camera roll consists of photographed notes, screenshots, work-stuff et.c. - it's not going to be pretty. It will only make the phone look even more cluttered.

What do you mean nice try? You just posted that the Dow is down .5% . That's not up is it? Same is true with NASDAQ, S&P, FTSE, DAX, etc..

I didn't say the markets crashed, but down is still, well, down.

AAPL dropped more than twice the DJIA - not good - Wall Street continues to speak. Your referencing the market down today was an attempt (IMO - nice try) to distance AAPL stock drop as not being driven by another poor set of announcements from WWDC.

NOT disappointed

I will say that I am not disappointed but I am a bit.
First. Hardware doesn't announce at WWDC so my lusts for a new Macbook Pro will have to wait.

The improvements are huge to those in attendance....the developers. Who knows where Siri access will take us. This is big but not now and not to the users.

I have to say my head was spinning over the messages features. It will take me forever to master those.

What I hoped for was better capacity for their Macs. I was hoping better memory, or graphics card etc. Sort of disappointed they haven't improved them for a while. Might buy a PC instead of a new Mac because I need better RAM etc. for my work (which is film and photo editing, their focus with their macs, so weird they haven't just improved their macs yet).

Predictive Emojis is going to be HUGE......fail.

When I saw this I thought they were spoofing on the Google April Fools emoji translate joke.....BUT they were serious. (what's the emoji for OMG?).

the copy - paste between devices was the only new feature that looks like something I'd use.

Sorry Apple, so pretty, so cool, so environmental friendly, so exclusive but... Reminds me the song "Hotel California" from The Eagles. "Such a a lovely face...". When software like video edition, sound edition, 3D or AAA games like Overwatch runs pretty well in a medium-high Windows-based PC and not in a Mac something is going WRONG. You are missing the PRO user. You only want GRANDMAS and TEENAGERS.

What a pile of tosh, Tim you have really killed this company!! Innovation went out of the window, the simplicity gone, first time in 16 years I have not been bothered about an event. Nothing missed really.
And retardness in... Emoji time party weee!
