So, who's exited about 3.0? :D

Can't wait. I want it, and I want it now. They gave us all the major things we have complained about for 2 years and brought us new things (Spotlight! among others) as well =)

I guess the next gen of iphone will still have the same resolution screen, unless they plan to not tell the app developers which would probably result in a lot of moaning and groaning.

I'm not excited for 3.0, it's an update with a few of features that should have been there from day 1, it's not going to change my life.

this summer!!

why must they tease us with such a great update and such a long wait!!

why :apple: why!?!

3.0 will be great, as a original iPhone owner I am very disappointed that I will not benefit from MMS. I have been telling people for so long that they have to figure out how to send me an email from their phones to send me images. I guess I will be forced to go 3G which kinda sucks because my bill will go up quite a bit since Cingular allowed me to keep my cheap voice plan with my iPhone. I'm sure ATT will not give me that option. I'm not a whiner, it's just something I was waiting for and I thought i had it coming for about 5 minutes then it got taken away.

11:34AM Q: Flash? What are you doing?
A: We have no announcements on that topic today. But there are a lot of video streams we can handle. h.264 works great. We're adding HDTV streaming for audio and video. We think there's a lot of great video solutions for a single clip.

I am willing to bet, the new Iphoen will have flash and video! I cant wait to see how it looks in 3 months!

I wonder if MMS will be free or will you have to pay extra for it.

Also the turn by turn on how much that app will cost. Since most devices are in the $120+

Wouldn't MMS just be included as part of the data plan? I think that's how Verizon did it. If you didn't have the Pix/Flix plan option or whatever it was called, then you paid data charges for sending MMS messages.

Yeah, try getting into the Apple Developer Connection Website!:p

I agree since I'm a 2G owner, however, rumor has it that the next generation iPhone will be released in June. I'd hold off on upgrading if I were you...

Too bad about the addition of subscriptions. Fewer free updates and monthly fees for things that do not currently have a monthly subscription. :(

Yea, does this mean a confirmed new iphone?
It says that the MMS and stuff will need different hardware...
So yea... yay?

You paid $300 for your iPod, I'm paying $2,000 for my iPhone. Suck it up.

I paid $750 (US$400) for my iPod and even the most expensive iPhone is nowhere near US$2000. Fees paid to the carrier are irrelevant since you can buy an iPhone outright and still get the OS upgrade for free.

Is this for all developers or just ADC members? I can't seem to understand who it's for. I'm a signed up developer with the SDK, but I don't have an ADC account.
