agreed. but blu-ray doesn't compete. physical media vs. digital/downloadable are two very different formats, issues to incorporate. they still have dvd players, why not upgrade to blu-ray and just make it happen. i would buy a mini in a second if it could do blu-ray. especially now with photo and tv show syncing through itunes, it's almost a new apple TV with all the function of a computer. just one more step . . . blu ray!!
For real. I have a Blu-ray drive in my Mac Pro that burns physical data for backups but I have to run Windows 7 to use it for video. With Final Cut now supporting Blu-ray (or so I've read), I'm surprised Apple simply hasn't thrown in the towel and added Blu-ray. ITunes high-definition still does not compete with Blu-ray.
