There is a pic that shows the various levels on engadget, only says 2.4. Hope a 2.8 is available though.
2.4 ghz processors? Aren't those desktop chips? I don't know if I really like the black rim around the monitor.
look at the time... it's been almost 25min since it started... and we already have iLife '08 AND a new imac. i wonder what he's gonna fill the next coupla hours with.

I fail to see how "events" are different than folders? This is how I sort my pics already! Does it automatically split them when imported based on date?
Hmm, Jobs has moved on from the iMac yet that mysterious black-shrouded object is still on the stage in front of him... Cinema Display ahoy?
As for the redesign, I think this is going to look stunning in the flesh, uh, metal. The only real problems the iMac had (IMO) were the plastic looking a little cheap when you got into the bigger models and the chin unbalancing the look of the unit on either the 17" model (because of screen size relative to chin) or the 24" (too much white plastic). The reduction in thickness is going to really make these things stand out and, I'm guessing, the aluminium is going to look fantastic under Mac Store lighting.

Actually, first look impressions: not really feeling the black border around the screeens. I dunno, guess it could grow on me, but thats just first impressions
Since the internal specs are only a moderate upgrade, we're supposed to pay MORE for some silly stylish upgrades? Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

God, give it up with the touchscreen. What the hell would you do with a touchscreen desktop. It would be a mess and terribly inefficient.

Yeah, Mini-DVI as on current models.
Or just with one Firewire 800 you could have a 9pin-4pin cable for a camcorder. I do prefer to have one of each though. It'd be nice to have eSATA, but not crucial for me.
