For all those complainers, this is WWDC, meaning it's for developers... software stuff, OS stuff, etc. They were totally on point. For those here that are not developers, wait until your ANNOUNCEMENTS sessions.
I've been watching WWDC for as long as I can remember and that was horrible. MacOS saved it a bit at the end, but no, it was not for developers. It was mainly targeted at teenagers and small children. That iOS update was worse than I ever could've imagined.

Too bad for the developers if the potential customers run away in droves because of the miserable price/performance ratio of most Mac machines these days. And if you're satisfied to develop on stale hardware, well - you're in the minority, I guess.

Seems like I'm in the minority thinking that it was a pretty solid keynote.

Just think about that Mac App Store for a moment. Categories on the left side instead of top! How can you not get excited.

Considering the rumours about these being releases focusing on stability and performance, I wasn't terribly underwhelmed by today's announcements.
The lack of any HomePod/Siri improvements, however...

Well, that's what happens when you believe in rumors.

Siri will never be as strong as Alexa and Google Assistant because Apple just doesn’t harvest data as aggressively. You either have a great assistant or you have more privacy. Having both is difficult.

I just don’t get how people don’t understand this. Apple is all about privacy. They won’t have a machine harvest data aggressively as you say. If people don’t like it, go to an open source device. Not that hard guys. This man hit it on point.

I just don't expect Apple to do anything radical anymore. They're so comfortable that they are afraid to take risks and push technology further. They're in their Vista years when it comes to software.

Eventually they'll have to play catch up to companies like Google and Amazon

One of the most boring keynotes ever.
And every time mr Tim says "we love the Mac", he should be slapped for lying.

I laughed every time I heard "we can't wait" in reference to what developers will do....

Obviously, they've been waiting a long time and will continue to wait as we developers walk away from Apple.

To be fair, the developer stuff will be going on during the rest of the week. Videos will probably be posted shortly on the WWDC app.

So, instead of leveraging the 3D capabilities of the iphoneX to do actual 3D scanning, they have figured out how to make your poop emoji stick out it's tongue. What progress.

True but if the performance on the older devices is crap (intentionally or not), it's kind of pointless.
iOS 11.4 actually brought back some performance on my iPad mini 2, and I can’t wait for iOS 12 since Craig promised a focus on older devices’ performance.

You can make fun of Apple as much as you want, but supporting a product form 2013 (iPhone 5S) is a huge feat. This was released just before the original Nexus 5, and how many Android users even remember the Nexus 5?

Password Manager API

Access passwords stored in third-party password managers directly from the QuickType bar in apps and in Safari (requires third-party adoption)."

wow i missed that in the keynote. this is great.

I am not excited about Apple anymore to be honest with you. I bought an X this year, and I think I'm going to get a Note or a Pixel 3, and also switch over to Windows.

I'm not trying to troll, I just want more out of my tech and Apple doesn't seem interested in taking a step into the next level. I think that Apple is going to be like Microsoft was in 2000's in the late 10's and 2020's. They're so comfortable with their success that they won't take risks and innovate.

I heard windows 10 yearly incremental innovation are offff the charttttt!!!! this year windows it's like unrecognisable from last year, every button you click get you further to the future, seriously switch to windows I'm not trying to troll you or anything.

The gap between Siri and the competition grows by the month and at some point it's difficult to continue arguing with "privacy"...

Which keynote did you actually watch? Did you really miss the extensive demo of ARKit?

It’s not hard. Make a damn decision. It’s not going to change. What so hard about making a decision on which one you want?
