Okay i uninstalled WB. It showed me weathericon theme as dependent. I rebooted and everything still looks fine. Whatever may be the reason i m fine.
Yea, if you copied the files to the Springboard.app they won't be removed when Winterboard gets removed.
voicemail notification
I noticed some others have complained of this issue with no resolution. I noticed under native and even a variety of themes that I have tried that my lockscreen will not notify me when I have a voicemail. This is not due to refreshing, for I have left unanswered voicemails for over a week and still no update.
Any ideas on getting this to work? Everything else works just fine, it is clearly a issue with the voicemail.

You have to set the refresh interval in Settings>WeatherIcon
The info comes from WeatherIcon.
I do have it 1 min but still I don't see it refreshes properly.
Edit: I think it does refresh but the whole issue i think is with Yahoo weather. It is not very accurate compared with weather channel data.

I remember having this work for me a long time ago (September-ish of last year). I wonder why the author of LockInfo can't just transfer the code from whatever theme had it working. I would think the theme's author would be okay with it...
no. he updated the json every hour it seems. just reboot like 4 times and it should be ok. i stopped updating everyday with ash...going to wait for a real update.
Be careful, it also turns it into shareware, it gives you a 28 day trial period. So now I'm restoring from my old .deb....
any chance you could post the previous version. I still couldn't get it to work.
no way...what version is the latest we can have where we are good forever then? im never updating.
new version also puts the info on your home screen in addition to it already being placed on lock screen.

I appreciate all the hard work Mr. Ashman has put into LockInfo. Unfortunately, I do not appreciate the fast one he is trying to put over us. I saw LockInfo had a update in Cydia, so updated. Next time I go to the LockInfo prefs, I get a dialog box asking me to "pay or continue trial"???
FYI it costs $4.99 for a license now. Apparently you get a 30 day trial, so it can't even be called shareware. Can Tronic or a Mod fix the first post so it doesn't say a "FREE" alternative to Intelliscreen??
I've no problem with people asking for payment for their hard work. I have a problem with Mr. Ashman not disclosing this in the ChangeLog. I have a problem when I am stuck and not given a choice to keep the older free version rather than be stealthily upgraded to an expiring version. And I have a bigger problem with people asking me to pay for software that will only work on a jailbroken iPhone. Donations, ok. Forced upgrades or payware - NO.

First. You were a beta tester. He never claimed it was freeware. If you followed the official beta thread on macthemes you would have known this was coming.
Why should payment for software have anything to do with the phone being jailbroken? It took just as long or longer for Ashman to write this software as App store crap. Is his time worth any less? No.
Also, you should know that "Shareware" is software that is provided free just like this is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shareware It's not Freeware.
It's now out of beta and being released. If you never noticed the /beta/ in the repo title, that's your problem. The previous versions were not "Free versions" like you are suggesting. He just didn't ask you for money to be a beta tester. Which, I'd say, is rather kind of him. Also, can't blame him for not putting it in his change log. People like you would have tried to keep the beta version so you wouldn't have to pay. Well the beta is over. You have no right to that. How many syslogs did you send him while beta was happening? Did you participate at all or just use this app as a free tool that you can complain about?

So new version out obviously.
Biggest new feature is that you now have the ability to have the lockscreen info on your Homescreen. So it would function like an information page that you can slide over to. Cool feature. Kind of like having widgets or something. I like it on my lockscreen better though (you can have both)

Btw i also think there should be some notice on the changelog about it stop being free though
The reason is that the themes display the plugins using Javascript. Native support renders using UI elements and Objective-C. This makes them run faster and lighter. So it's not much of a copy and paste job.

This is one of the few Jailbroken apps that I would consider paying for but since yesterday it continuously crashes my phone. I have restored my phone 3 times trying to get lockinfo to work. I can understand the developer wanting to turn a profit for his or her hard work but I will not pay for this at this point. Needs to be fixed otherwise I will be looking back towards intelliscreen, which I really don't want to do.
I tried updating my WeatherIcon without updating LockInfo (I liked the stability of the beta) but my phone continuously crashed.

i with ya guys...it crashes alot now, i find myself having to respring everytime i reboot due to the lockinfo app....sucks cuz it ran so good last beta....hope he can work out all the bugs and ill be happy to pay for something i use every hour
It's still Beta. He's releasing it on MMi once the crashes are done sorted out. You have a 3Gs? I think that's the only device with any issues ATM.
