LOL better than what I have, the only thing that shows up for me is the GREY HEADER AND FOOTER on the lockscreen. I'm using the gruppled theme, ever since his previous 2 updates it has been unsuccessful to use.

Check to make sure each are enabled in Settings>LockInfo. Check each plugin. If they are enabled try to respring.

Also, what version of Phone are you using?

Yea, looks like Gruppled needs to be updated to support the latest version. Probably soon.

They are set to enabled, I am using 32gig 3gs...

Try posting over here for Stimpy5050 to see about it. He's the dev. Or you can email him. Link to his email is in Cydia.

On another note, I hope to have some good time to program after this weekend and get my Todo plugin done. I found a tutorial online for making an RSS reader in Obj-C! Once I'm done getting Todo working OK, I'm going to try and use it as a template for myself to make more plugins. RSS is good to know because it can be used to fetch Facebook news feeds, Twitter updates and virutally anything. :p

Didn't see his email over there, and they aren't taking any new members right now...so I guess I'm out of luck. thanks anyway.

Email is in Cydia. Search LockInfo and touch it and you'll see a part with an email picture and his name. It'll open mail for you to send him a message.

Can someone please post screen shots of the latest release and detail what new features are included?

You can now have whats on the lockscreen, on your homescreen. the settings are pretty much the same except for a change in the transparency settings. It is now a commercial app that costs 4.99 for a license.

The city name doesn't show up in the weather section for me. I have weathericon installed, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

hi, i just installed the 1.099 version i think and works without asking for license
I dunno if i can post the file lets what do people say. Pm your mail anyway and i'll send it to you

Btw i also think there should be some notice on the changelog about it stop being free though

1.099 version also had bugs which is why we're wayyy past that release now....As of posting, latest version is 1.0.110.
And out of respect for the developer, I don't recommend posting/sharing the file.

It's still Beta. He's releasing it on MMi once the crashes are done sorted out. You have a 3Gs? I think that's the only device with any issues ATM.

Latest release if I'm not mistaken should have fixed the 3GS problem.

didn't see this answered anywhere but i went to scroll today and it worked without bouncing! i was quite surprised. using 1.0.65.

any update on this??? sometimes im able to scroll and sometimes it bouces just like mentioned above. really annoying

anyone?????

edit:im talking about scrolling problems. it bouces back when i let go

So after one update it's now a paid app?

Also is anyone's time messed up after the DST change?
Um...there's been a lot more than one update....
Look at the version number. Right now its 1.0.113.
There haven't been 113 public releases since some versions were skipped (and probably privately tested?), but there certainly have been a lot.

How did you get your LockInfo to go all the way to the top? Is that a winterboard theme or some option in LockInfo?

I tried this app and really wanted to like it. It seems like a well designed app. I am currently using Intelliscreen which I think has some very nice features that I hope LockInfo may look into adding. The biggest thing for me is being to preview emails/SMS right from the lock screen. With Intelliscreen, I can view the email and delete without having to actually launch the email program. Also, Intelliscreen separates the emails by account instead of listing all messages by their timestamp. I can also specify to only show new emails which helps to limit the number of email items displayed, which is important given the precious real estate allowed.

Anyway, I am not being a hater or anything. LockInfo seems to be a nice, lightweight way to display pertinent information on the lockscreen. For me, additional interactive features would be great.

LockInfo only does show new emails, by the way.

As far as viewing them in full from the lockscreen, I don't think there are plans for this either. I turned that off from GriP when I used it because I don't want someone to have access to my Emails without unlocking the phone. It's possible that the dev may implement a separator for the email accounts. There are some themes that do this already so I'm sure it's not too hard for him to enable a toggle for it.

Anyone else having timestamp issues? Mine is still an hour ahead, not reflecting DST changes.

Also what I meant about switching to the paid app is that there was no apparent notice that upgrading would suddenly put you on a trial for the paid software, similar to the PDANet switch back in the day.

Hi i have lockscreen running with HTC Lockstyle Gruppled and i am unable to change from that darn Middletown city to my city which is Vancouver, BC, Canada. Could someone please help me out!!

Here is the LockScreen

mvokn7.jpg

1. Install (Lockscreen Clock Hide) & (Lockscreen Info) from Cydia
2. Download the theme here http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=a331275e61e7fbe0b64026cfc061123661ea05c295b6bb47480654b192e70f3f
3. Edit (configureMe.js) & (config.js) files to add your local weather, just put in your zipcode.
4. SSH the theme to your iPhone
5. Enable through WinterBoard
6. Have fun

I did not make or create this theme, credits to (LEXS1411). All I did was change the clock from 24 hour to 12 hour, temperature to Fahrenheit and rebuilt the .psd file so you can change the wallpaper of the lock screen, which I included in the the download.

This is the lockscreen i have, and this.....

is the one i want!! HOW??

you have to install the gruppled theme.

I have the Gruppled theme installed and it looks nothing like that.

The section headers are centered rather than left justified and the icons and arrows are not in color.

I'd like to know how to get it looking like that as well.

FYI: http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=576554#p576554

First. You were a beta tester. He never claimed it was freeware. If you followed the official beta thread on macthemes you would have known this was coming.

You can't assume I knew I was a beta tester. Not everyone has the time to check every forum out there for threads. There were no notes on the Cydia listing / changelog warning about the "official support forum thread" or any impending changes. The OP on this thread mentioned that LockInfo was a "free alternative to Intelliscreen" and I checked it out, it worked out pretty nicely for me, but now that it's gone commercial, I no longer have any interest in it. I just wish the first post could be edited by the OP or a Mod to change the information so that others won't be misled, especially now that it's now a commercial app.

Again, you've assumed quite a bit in your additional comments. I'll just ignore that - I may have come on a bit strong due to my disappointment about having to pay for this software now, and I'm sorry if I offended you. BUT it was a genuine surprise to me, and you can't blame me for not knowing better (especially in this day of extended or even permanent "betas"!).

After reading your comments, I've looked around, and indeed it does seem he warned people on forums that he frequented that things would change. However, I still find it interesting that nothing was put up on the Cydia page/changelog until a day or two after the change happened. Maybe you feel much more trusting of Mr. Ashman, and are very much pro-LockInfo. More power to you.

On my part, I can't help but have my doubts about people who use third party forums to provide their official vehicle of information and support, and are not completely up-front about impending changes to the program in the primary venue where the program is provided (Cydia). Especially when you're on the "wild west frontier" of jailbroken iPhones and all that...

Let's agree to disagree. You go on helping others out with LockInfo here. I've already said my part. I hope someone will be assertive enough to get that first post fixed so that it'll not be so misleading. At least now on Cydia it's upfront about it being a commercial app, so it'll not be a big surprise anymore. I've gotten rid of the program (not without some regrets, tho - it was nice while it lasted), and am outta this thread. Cheers! :)

It's apparent (to me) in the first post that this is (was beta). Look at the repo url you have to put in. This is what the first post says:
To get the update, add http://david.ashman.com/BETA/ to your Cydia sources and install "Lockscreen Info".
(emphasis mine)

IMO, this is just like the Big Boss beta repo issue (see: http://thebigboss.org/2009/09/05/beta-repository-private-now/) where people were treating the beta repo as just a regular standard repo. Combine that with the mentality a lot of us have towards beta after GMail (in beta for what seemed like forever) and you have people installing things that shouldn't have. But...that's a different topic.

However....

I agree with you that a notice in the changelog in Cydia would have been nice. However do note that following the first update that started checking for licenses, there were "crashing" issues that arose for a number of users. Releases were pushed out more rapidly after that to get the crashes to stop and fix the bugs. I guess that took a priority over updating the changelog in Cydia.

I also agree with you that a notice of some sort on the first post would be helpful now that the status of this app has changed.

FYI, if you're on a 3GS with weather updating issues, you're not alone. See: http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=578320#p578320 and send your syslog over to the dev.

and if you lost the transparency option when you use an HTML theme (ie Lock Info Matte UI) it's a bug and will be fixed in the next release (see:http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=578319#p578319)
