I'll be dumping lock info as soon as the trial expires.

I like this app, but am not impressed with how the change from free beta to pay without any fore warning. I am tempted to believe it was for the sole purpose of getting all of us off the old free versions without knowing it. I would have been more then happy to have stayed with the older version, or if I didn't have a sour taste in my mouth about this dev, might have been willing to donate to the cause...

I am sure many will just pay for it and continue along there merry way. But I am sure I am not along in deciding to walk away from it.

without any warning??

are you mad, its been beta for over 6 months ! how much more warning do you need?

if you actually looked, there is over 112 pages of discussion of this app with the dev here http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16794311&p=1

And what does a different website have to do with anything? Not everyone reads every mac website out there. Nor cares to... I only come to this site and the only information I have ever read about this app came from this single thread. I only installed this app a week ago. Why should I know whats going on behind the scenes?

As a free app it was interesting to try. As a paid app I choose to dump it. My only real gripe is it would have been nice to know what app version was turning it into trialware. Myself and many others would most likely not bothered to upgrade had we known if it was posted on cydia. Simple as that.

Thats the chosen website by the developer to communicate with the iphone world regarding his app. A simple search on google would of shown you that.

You cant say your dumping it because its not free any more and then come here saying "I only installed this app a week ago", if you had it 6 months ago and saw its progress in this time and all the time and dedication put into it i guarantee you would buy it, even if you have to ask your mummy for pocket money

Look people... If you don't want it, then you don't want it. Not going to argue with you. It's still cheaper than Intelliscreen and even cheeper than buying a beer where I live. Some people think that's worth it, others don't.

I'm a little peeved because in that macthemes thread he said anyone that donated would get a license. A month ago I sent him a donation, more than what the app costs now. I emailed him abt the license and never heard back. Macthemes isn't taking new members so I can't post to him there. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal and I'll just buy it now but I'm still irked :)

If you donated he will give you a license. He needs to know what email address you sent the donation with so he can check to make sure.

I'm going to send you a PM and see if I can help you out.

What, no $4.98 beer where you live ?? :p

Being serious, David has put a ton of work into his apps, he is one of the most responsive developers out there, if something needs fixed due to a firmware upgrade, he gets it done quick. I have donated to him in the past, but will be paying for this extension, as the lockscreen is one of the things I like most about my JB iPhone.

It's the only app besides a few games that I have paid for actually.

Reason being, as you mentioned, his responsiveness. While he was in beta I asked him about how we'd get the high-low weather temps side by side instead of on top of each other to save screen space, less than a day later he had a new version out with what I was talking about. Same with relative dates, text alignment and so on. In fact most requests I've seen have been implemented in some way. I don't even understand how he can have the time to read those emails and get everything into his code so quickly.

I'd gladly pay 4.99 or more for that.

And... I'm in DC, ironically so is Ashman, and you gotta find a good special to get a CHEAP beer for less than that. :D

That's why I'm not too concerned about it. I emailed him several times with syslogs during the beta and always immediately got an answer. Also, it's the only app I use 5+ times a day since I have my todo list on it :) It's my main reason for jailbreaking.

Definitely my main. It's also the one that when people without jailbroken phones see they always ask "How did you get that?" Then I say, "You have to jailbreak your phone to do it." They always respond, "How can I jailbreak my phone then?" Haha

Amazing, I have that same experience every time I show someone the lockscreen theme on my iPhone.

Just bought a 2 month old 3GS in pristine condition for my wife last night (older bootrom). After I paid the guy, he saw my lockscreen, and couldn't believe it. He seemed to regret selling me his iPhone. Too bad dude, the supply of older bootrom units is gonna dry up.

Help please?

Is it just me, or what? When I add david ashman's source(s), LockInfo is in neither of them. I have added david.ashman.com/beta and david.ashman.com/apt and I cannot find Lockinfo ANYWHERE! please hlep.

Same with me, not sure what the deal is...

It's not in beta anymore. Lockinfo is in cydia through modmyi.

Would it be possible for some of you kind folks to share your completed themes?

Most people are using Native, or a slightly modified Gruppled or MatteUI. I suggest starting with something like that and trying to tweak it yourself. This thread is a good resource for that.

If you want a particular theme just like someone has it here, send them a PM or something and ask them to post a .zip of it. If you think this thread is long now just wait until people start uploading screenshots with requests. :p

Can LockInfo break Wi-Fi?

I used BlackRain and BlackSnow to JB and Unlock my 3.1.2 3GS yesterday.

Everything seemed to be working fine.

Then today I installed LockInfo. I thought everything was still fine until I realized that wi-fi was no longer working. The phone doesn't see any networks (there are countless networks in my apt. building).

I uninstalled LockInfo, but wi-fi is still broken.

Any ideas?

Thanks

EDIT: Did Reset of Network Settings and wifi is back. Tethering still works too. Not sure if LockInfo had anything to do with this or if it was just a coincidence that wifi didn't work after installing LockInfo...

Known issue with some after using Blackra1n. Lockinfo likely had nothing to do with it.

1 quick questions....How do you change the lockscreen background as I would like to hide the battery.

Regarding the issue that this is now a paid app:

I have been using LockInfo for months, and the day I bought my out of the box 3.1.2 3GS (1 day before the blackra1n was released) was the worst day of my life becasue I didn't have LockInfo (I exaggerate to make a point).

I donated to the dev about a month ago, without knowing it was going to be commercial. I have already purchased the license as well, knowing I could get it by just emailing him, all so I can SUPPORT the developer.

I'm going to be honest: I have pirated stuff before, but that's becuase I use it for 3 hours and never touch it again. Things that I USE I PAY FOR! Always. This may not be morally or ethically right, but like I said, I'm being honest.

This dev is amazing. I had an issue with birthdays no longer showing up on my calendar after 3.1, I contacted him and he had it fixed within a day. He deserves to make this a commercial app, it's amazing.

But, if you don't want to use it, that's your right as a consumer. Just don't flame the dev for making an awesome app and gaining some income to support future development.

Can't hide the battery, it will show when it's charging. You might be able to delete the stock graphic to remove the battery pic, but why would you want to.

I'm confused too what outlaw77 wants to do... So you just want your regular lockscreen background when charging and not the charging one?

Also, this is totally nothing to do with LockInfo... But you can go into SpringBoard.app and replace all the battery_bg images (there is one for every few %) with your desired lockscreen background.

My friend has this on his iphone, and his shows twitter. on mine it does nhot why? Also his has a weather section in the settings and mine does not?? any idea why?
