Yep. it's blocking SMS popups but not push ones from other programs.

It only blocks popups that appear on LockInfo sections. So missed calls, SMS and Voicemail. When Ashman adds a push notification plugin I'm sure he'll block those as well.

Where are these instructions please? I want that same exact look. I'm using Gruppled Lockinfo theme but of course want the Todo. Your's looks like that pretty much, but has the Todo.

I am trying out the LockInfo Cydget (seems ok so far) and I noticed that you guys have the weather icons. Is there any easy way to add those icons or do you have to add them manually or with Winterboard? I don't really want to use Winterboard and if I have to use SSH or whatever, I'll probably just go back to using Intelliscreen. Thanks.

Yes, for now if you don't want to use Winterboard, like me, you have to use SSH. Placing the WeatherIcon images is a one time thing. You just extract a file to your SpringBoard.app folder and you're done. If that's too much trouble you can wait for the next version where he'll include some basic icons or you can go back to Intelliscreen. But really, I think it's worth the 2 min it takes to paste the icons in. There's even a Zip (posted by me) somewhere in this thread.

Do you guys know if the developer is planning on making any changes to allow more customization of the screen? What I'm specifically wondering about is the ability to customize how many emails show on the screen and the ability to scroll within each category (mail, calendar, etc.). I know that you can limit the # of emails that are displayed but what I'm talking about is a little different. When I have more than a certain # of emails (maybe 5 or 6), my weather gets pushed off the bottom of the page. I can obviously scroll to the bottom to see it but I prefer to have the weather visible at all times. What I'd like to be able to do is limit the # of emails that are displayed to like 3 or 4 and then if I have more than that, I can just scroll within the mail category to see the rest of them without everything else moving (hope that makes sense). Intelliscreen does that and it's nice because you can just scroll within each category rather than having to scroll the entire lockscreen. Basically, each category (mail, calendar, weather) is kind of like its own separate cell or whatever and you can scroll within each of them without the other ones moving (anyone who has used Intelliscreen knows what I'm talking about). I like the looks of LockInfo better than IS, but IS is definitely a little more refined in this regard. Also, it would be nice if the developer could give us the option of being able to actually read the emails on the lockscreen by swiping the email or whatever. I'm not sure if the dev is able to do that. These things are probably possible through HTML themes that can use Javascript and everything, but the beauty of Native Rendering is it's speed and low overhead. It does this by using native tables and native iPhone objects instead of creating them. I'm not sure that scrolling in sections and touching items in the sections is possible using native rendering. But, as I mentioned, a HTML theme could do this. I'm not sure one exists yet though that does, but it is possible and it doesn't require Winterboard. Most themes can be directly applied to the folder.

Also, the functionality of Reading full emails from the lockscreen is kind of on the edge of what LI is supposed to be. It's more meant to be quick info (Also this provides the ability to be secure so people can't read your emails if you have a PW on your phone) rather than full use.

To each their own though. He's a little preoccupied right now, but he's a great Dev and I'm sure he'll amaze us with more features we didn't even know we wanted.

You may be right about that ViViD. I guess I'm of the mindset that the more options, the better; however, David may not have any interest in making emails readable from the lockscreen and that is certainly his prerogative. I've come to appreciate that option in IS but LockInfo is much more professional-looking in my opinion.

If there was a way to use IS with Cydget that would be great, but it doesn't seem to work properly. The other negative is that there hasn't been an update for IS in quite a while and I don't think there's going to be one in the foreseeable future.

Hey everyone. Thought you'd like to see the Frankenstein of a theme I created by merging the Gruppled theme with the 235 teehanlax theme.

I really wanted to have the current weather and a sexier display for the time than what came with Gruppled, but I loved the forecast section that came with Gruppled as well.

Unfortunately there were conflicts when making them both active in Winterboard so actually had to go in to the code and merge css styles, html, and javascript.

Got exactly what I want so I'm happy!

The config file is the com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist. That goes in your SpringBoard.app folder too.

EDIT: Just thought of another possible issue for you. It picks up the city by checking the FIRST location you have set up in the Apple Weather.app. You can also try to override it with the Yahoo Weather Code. (I think you get that in your address bar if you view Yahoo Weather on a desktop or something)

I uploaded the latest source for the todo plugin to Google Code. David didn't include the Plugin.h file for the API so I can't compile it but I added the ability to limit the max days ahead as well as hide child items of a list you created. It looked odd seeing the list name as well as all the children like they were different tasks.

I was thinking I'll probably see if I can just cascade all child items under their parent but not without the ability for me to compile and test it will I even try that.

Also, for the Max Days, I have the ability to only have this limit apply to repeating tasks. Do you think I should do this or just leave it a blanket max days? What do you guys think?

I played around with a lot of the html code to get the Gruppled theme to look like I wanted it, but in the end I was getting inconsistent performance from my lock screen (non-native). Scrolling sometimes worked, other times it would lock. Sometimes the lockscreen would come up blank and eventually load, and sometimes it wouldn't at all.

I've gone back to David's Native Lockinfo and added some Gruppled Icons to the look and then turned on the Tea Lock Background. I'm a happy camper and love making all my changes from within the settings.

I only wish I could get two cities like I did before. Maybe he will add this at some point.

Question...I updated my phone to have the Native Lockinfo and also added some of the Gruppled icons. I noticed my phone doesn't show the number next to SMS, Voicemail, Missed Calls, and Calander. Only on Todo and Mail

Any suggestions on the weather and also the count next to my pluggins?

In the settings for each plugin you can change if the count goes next to the name. Also, you can get it to update all the time if you turn on WeatherIcon so that it actually shows up on the springboard too. Like so it shows live weather as the icon for Apple Weather or WeatherBug or whatever your app is. Or you can turn it on to show weather in the statusbar. The LockInfo plugin for weathericon doesn't actually do the fetching, it only looks at what WeatherIcon has fetched so you have to have that enabled first.

I'd be curious to know if you were able to figure out the update issue with the weather (current, not 7 day).

I have a theme based off this myself but I can't figure this out. It keeps refreshing and putting the new weather on top of the old one instead of in place of it.

It happens to me sometimes also. What I notice more often is when I do an update or install from the iTunes App Store, I ALWAYS have re-spring to get LockInfo back. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance.

As I've said in an earlier post, I'm loving LockInfo! Although I have a question about WeatherIcon updates. When I press either the power button or home button to active the lockscreen it wont update the temp on the first try. I have to close the lockscreen (press power button again) and then activate a second time to get the temperature updated.

A little background....

Settings>WeatherIcon is turned on and set to refresh every 30 minutes. In Settings>LockInfo>Plugins, WeatherIcon is turned on. I have the lockscreen set to stay on for 30 seconds using Dim Delay. I don't have winterboard installed and I haven't customized LockInfo in any way through SSH.

Is this normal or do I have something strange going on?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that a manual refresh from the lock screen is on the dev's todo list.
