You must be kidding... You are probably trying to waste everybody's time writing something like this. $200 for a DAW with infinite possibilities, we're fortunate it does not cost $2000. I'd pay $200 just for the drummers.
I paid $200 for Logic as soon as it was available in the app store.
Yet I feel like a thief with all these free updates over the years.
anyone know where the bullet list of ALL the changes is located ? I'm hoping there are hundreds (often the case)
Well great Apple, you just lost 200$ x 4.
So no only can people be completely delusional fan, but also know absolutely nothing about music/CAM and make obnoxiously false claims
Here you go:
- Performing Undo after importing tracks no longer unexpectedly changes the color of markers to the default color.
Am I missing something or is there no longer a page on Apple.com for Logic?
Count your days very carefully fellow pros! Your days are limited after the death of Aperture...
Can't believe Apple actually used something they bought.![]()

Logic has so many things that I'd like to play with... but I don't have $200 to waste on it.
I wish Apple would find a way to make it free just like Garage Band is (the distinction shouldn't be based on how much money you want to spend, but based on how complicated you want the UI to be.) It doesn't cost Apple more to give it to more people (since it's just downloable software)... and I can't imagine it really makes a noteworthy amount of money just from the $200/seat that they sell it for.
I'm running the El Capitan beta as well, and I had no problem. The update went smoothly and the extra content downloaded just fine. I opened up an old project just to make sure everything was working.Heads up. Im running the latest El Capitan public beta and since updating Logic it crashes on startup
I don't understand the negative comments on this one? I've tinkered around with music software on computers for at least 15-20 years now and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better value than what you get for $200 with Logic Pro X.
I would be, though. It's nothing more than a toy to me.
I nearly spat my coffee out when I read this. Do you even know the history of Logic? About 10 years ago it used to cost around $1,100 (£699). That's some serious doe, but if you were a professional composer then it was a sound investment. It didn't even have all the built in software instruments that it has today. They were a separate purchase.Logic has so many things that I'd like to play with... but I don't have $200 to waste on it.

So, no - they are virtually giving away their souls at $200 for all that stuff you get. It's an absolute steal. God, if we only knew how cheap this stuff was going to be a few years back we'd not have gone hungry just to afford all the gear.
Young composers have no idea how good they've got it. I'm starting to feel old! lol
for what, including something you're free not to use?Well great Apple, you just lost 200$ x 4.
Edit: I guess I'll have to wait to play around with Alchemy. I can't find that sampler Apple shows in its screen shots. I've checked instruments all throughout the library. I've searched for the "Morphing Synth" shown in the demo. It just doesn't seem to exist. But the old EXS24 is still there....
Another reason for not making it free is the cost of support. The more complex the app, the more it costs the developer to support it. Make a pro app of this complexity available for free, and the number of casual users who try to play with the toy and end up calling support could be considerable. Not only does the $200 underwrite support costs, but it limits the number of users in need of support to serious users.I would be, though. It's nothing more than a toy to me.
