2012 MBP Retina - mouse losing BT connection at least once a day. Requires a restart of the computer to get it to connect to the mouse again. Turning off/on BT and even deleting the preferences plist file by themselves don't do the job. What a pain! Anyone have any other ideas?

You don't mention resetting the mouse itself, but I assume you've tried that too right? If you can live with it definetly go for the USB adapter because that's very reliable.

For me most connection issues are resolved by either waiting a minute or deleting and repairing the mouse from settings. Still annoying.

definitely still issues. I have a Mid 2014 RBP macOS Sierra clamshell setup. I always have to pop the lid open and reset bluetooth up with the built in trackpad. The dongle works fine but so does my old 15 dollar mouse - I bought this one for the bluetooth mainly. Will be returning I think.

Bummer.. I have one coming in tomorrow expressly to use the bluetooth on my MacBook (do not want to use the dongle)...but will use it if I have to.

Just try it and see if it works for you. The last weeks I've had almost no issues.

I've been switching a lot between macOS and Windows 10 via Bootcamp and that works flawlessly thanks to its ability to store up to three devices.

This mouse just has so many great features that I just can't find on any other mouse; even if it won't connect once in a while it's still worth it.

Yeah seeming that it is hit or miss for people. I have been looking for a good bluetooth mouse and, there nothing out there besides this and the Magic Mouse. I just don't like Microsoft mice. I love Logitech mice, so when I came across the mx master, I thought it was going to be perfect! crossing fingers.

So I am just checking in after testing out this mouse in all aspects of my daily life on bluetooth with a 2015 MacBook...and I am not seeing any problems reported in this thread. I am guessing that Logitech had made some updates to fix the connection issues. I should note that I got the mx master in the navy blue, so one of the newer iterations of this mouse. So far I am absolutely loving it! The scroll wheel is money!

For me everything is fine on a 2016 MBP and I love the mouse so far.

But yesterday I mentioned while using my AirPods the mouse is becoming absolutely useless and does unexpected things while ignoring movement.
Is there another workaround than using the unifying receiver? :D

The mouse has erratic behavior on the MBP2016. Sometimes it works with BT, better with it's USB dongle, but still erratic. Logitech does not seem to be able to get a grip on this. I returned mine for a refund to Amazon - I gave up trying to troubleshoot or wait for Logitech to address the issues. In their support forum is evident there are many with problems and Logitech acknowledges some. Maybe if they get it right eventually, would be worth repurchasing.

Do you know if you got an earlier version of this mouse? I have a later version that does not exhibit any erratic behavior and in fact has been my daily driver without any hiccups. When I was doing research in watching youtube reviews, I heard mention that the original issues with this mouse were resolved and now could be recommended.

No idea as to the version, but this was about 60 days ago. Came sealed and brand new from Amazon. No longer have it.

Hi! I was not having any problem too with my MacBook Pro 2016 (not 100%, but almost perfect). But as soon as i connected another bluetooth device (in my case, a Bose QC35 or the AirPods) the mouse cursor became choppy.

I bought my MX Master unit in January 17. So unless they launched a new version just a short time ago, we still have the defective version.

If you can, please try to connect another device and see if you experience the same problems too. I read in another forum a Logitech member saying that is that the way MacOS connects to bluetooth smart devices and they also suggest to use the receiver.

But considering that my Macbook only has USB-C ports, i think my options are: not connect any other bluetooth device OR buy a USB-C to USB-A dongle and connect the receiver (i would probably prefer to buy a wired mouse than doing this).

Since OSX 10.12.5 came out:

My MX Master's front/back buttons no longer properly work and the horizontal scroll-wheel also does not work.

The vertical scroll-wheel is also very erratic and not smooth at all.

The Logitech Options app does not load at all since the 10.12.5 update.

MX Master's latest update is from January and Logitech has to revise it.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I am using the Logitech dongle for my Late 2011 Macbook Pro 15".

With todays update Logitech finally fix the connection issue. I been using my Airpods and MX master over BT for a hour now with no issue.
Go n grab the latest software from Logitech.

Did you find another BT mouse? I'm having the same issue with one I just got yesterday.

Is this version 6.60.448?

Yes!! It fixed all my issues. :)

I'm at my wit's end on this. I think it's Logitech's fault, since I had the Magic Mouse 2 and never had a single drop out, despite using HDMI out (saw at Apple some people having problems with Logitech mice and attributed to HDMI), AirPods, and Magic Keyboard. I would have kept using the Magic Mouse, but I started developing RSI. I've had it before and don't want that again. I already have a G600s, but it uses USB and the battery only lasts 1 day.

I think logitech has been managed by morons because mx master 2s has exactly the same problems! They are aware of this BT problem and they do nothing to fix it!

My solution was simple and worked well. I'd recommend everyone take my approach. I ditched Logitech. In my case I decided to experiment and moved over to an Evoluent VerticalMouse. Took a couple of weeks to get used to it and I couldn't be happier. I've been a software engineer for over 20 years and I think my wrists are happier for it. I must admit though that I'm using it mostly with the dongle that came with it instead of pure bluetooth.

I think either software updates from Logitech or updates from Apple have fixed mine.
I haven't had an issue with my original MX Master in quite some time and it was notoriously bad with random hangups, disconnections previously. Across 3 different machines.

My opinion only, but there are probably always going to be "hiccups" and problems connecting a mouse via bluetooth.

Insofar as Logitech mice are concerned, connecting via their proprietary wireless receiver will -always- work better...

I've been connecting my MX Master through Bluetooth to my Non-touch MBP and haven't had any issues. So maybe the firmware updates provided a fix?

for me the disconnecting issue started after I installed the Logitech software. Might be a coincidence but still very annoying. Using the USB Dongle might be ok for some people but I explicitly bought it for the Bluetooth Option and the multi connection.

I posted last hear and had the issues with the 2S. When I saw the post about an update fixing issues with the regular MX Master, I tried it instead. It's been working well ever since.

Last I checked (couple months ago, when I bought a second for work), the MX Master is still sold new at Amazon. They periodically have sales for around $50. It works great on BT with my rMBP, iMac 5K, and a Windows 7 PC (latter via Unifying receiver). I've used it with BT on Windows 10 on a newer PC too, and it worked fine.
