Awesome...

These Londoners should be rioting for dental care. Just saying...

I needed a good laugh this morning, and your post was just the thing.

...And for all of you that are voting this down, lighten up! Go back to whining about how "we always have to wait to get things in the UK iTunes store"... or yada yada yada.

But seriously, how much more senseless violence and harm has to come to one of the most beautiful and historic countries on earth before these kids settle down and go home...?

London Riots, Global Recession, Mass Alienation of working people and the Rise of Neo Fascism across Europe and America, what do the Elitist do...Protect the Apple Store!

Well said.
Its worth noting that the majority of them aren't exactly english/white, which makes me question the motives for the riots even more.
Well don't just leave your comment there dripping with insinuation.
Go ahead and tell us what you really think.

Why would I own an Xbox? They are for peasants.

ProTip: Stereotyping needs to be understandable in order for it to be insulting.

ProTip: Not everyone from the north is as ignorant as you. Some realise that hating someone just because they live a couple of hours down the motorway is pathetic.

Are you going to start blaming muslims now?

It's worth noting that the two out of three people taking from his bag are white.

I was simply making an observation. There was no intent to be racially insensitive.

I do however find it amusing how cities such as Birmingham are hot spots for immigrants, yet when they come over here some of them behave like this.

Pathetic? I apologise for hating on a culture that believes it is superior in every way to people living north of them.

Have you ever heard of a thing called the north/south divide? Its especially prominent in the media.

All I know of such a divide is there are more ignorant views such as bigotry and racism in the north than there is in the south. You're proving that here.

150 Rioters were chased of Green Street in London last night by 400 Asian youths.

I really hate it when 2nd and 3d generation British Muslims stick up for their local neighbourhood and fight off white, hooded yobs.

Ah. Using 1 northerners' truthful view as a basis to back up your own stereotypes. How grand.

Stereotypes are funny, but please don't put me in the same bracket as the sinister 'culture' you have identified. I've never thought that I'm superior to people who live north of me, neither have any of my friends. The UK is such a tiny insignificant place, it's not worth making divisions.

As for the media, well the Daily Mail can say what it likes, anyone stupid enough to read it (northern or southern) is a fool.

Seems everything is pretty much *********. Agree with the user above, hope this gets solved quiclky. But since some users think i'm extreme on the other thread about these riots, i'll refrain from any more talk.

Written by a friend but must say I think this covers it all fairly well

"‎333 deaths in police cells since 1998 - and not a single police conviction - you have to ask who the IPCC actually works for, targeted and daily stop and search in specific areas if you're black or Asian, in Haringey unemployment is double the rest of the country, wealth and poverty has never been so stark. I'm not condoning any of last night's violence but these facts do help understand where the anger comes from"

Report is here http://www.ipcc.gov.uk/en/Pages/deathscustodystudy.aspx

Also there is a disconnect in UK society between those currently in government (and not saying Labour would be any better) when almost your entire cabinet are career politicians having studied PPE at Oxford or Cambridge and have no career outside politics and no real world work experience outside the Westminster Village you do have to question how they can reflect and reason with the disaffected youth.

I'm seriously considering becoming a volunteer with the Met. 16 hours a month and you get free transport 24/7. Hmm. Also you get to run after bad guys. Actually the running bit would be annoying, and I'd hate to scuff my shins while in pursuit. Maybe I could be a mounted police officer, on a horsey. Or I could have a police doggy. Hmmm..

Werd.

I'm not condoning these riots, I just think we really need to focus on what's caused them rather than reactionary idiotic threats of judicial revenge.

Well Tottenham and some other areas like old ken road (which is having some looting) at least have a largely black community and Tottenham is one of the poorest boroughs in the city, and in Croydon I know from experience that there a lot of indian/pakistani/arabic/african people there, so again I think its just a coincidence.

One of the most juvenile and pathetic comments I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Apart from there was rioting in Birmingham and Manchester too.

You might be bitter and angry enough to hate everyone from the South which is a shame because some of us are alright, but I watched people's livelihoods burn last night and no one deserves that.

Birmingham isn't in the north.
There were no riots in Manchester. I heard rumours last night but the GM Police announced this morning they were just that. Some people said there were gangs of Indian/Pakistani youths gathering in town centres but it looks like nothing came of that.
Leeds had some troubles but they were under control pretty quickly.
Liverpool went pretty quiet too.

I'm surprised at Bristol though. I've only been there a few times in my life but it generally seems a cosy, nice place.

But still I'm surprised at the police. Instead of protecting one a shop owned by one of the richest companies in the world, why not protect the smaller shops that cant afford to be destroyed?
As I said before... suspicious! And not very cool at all.

Typical Appelonians. They are worried about the stupid Apple store and could care less about the people in the city. Quite selfish and arrogant.

Just commenting to say I feel that much dumber now for having read the term "Appelonians". If you're going to make new terms up at least spell "Apple" properly in the process. Keep in mind it's not just about protecting Apple here, but peoples livelihood in general. This just happens to be an Apple related forum.
