The fact that every single one of the Asians (Chinese) are all in line buying up the max # of iPhones they can with cash and sending them back to China burns me up. They take all the fun out of waiting in line for the new phone not to mention wiping out the inventory for honest consumers. Apple should limit the phones to only as many as you are qualified for on your cellular account! I know they won't because a sale is a sale. But just get rid of these rude scalper leeches. I pre-ordered and won't get mine till Oct 1st but I don't care. It's better than standing in line with these rude, garlic smelling Chinese!

yep, which is why i will most likely wait until the holidays or january. probably the holidays since the price will drop

I've never understood these lines now that Apple ships to your home. If these people are willing to wait in line then they are will to wake up early in the morning to order a phone.

We wouldn't have even had to do that. What was meant to be the midnight release in the US was 5pm for us....I ordered mine from work just before going home

Well it's kind of insulting getting a smart arse comment from an Englishman implying that only indigenous folk can use the title "Aussie".

Like nowadays they can just conveniently forget their treatment of the former colonies whilst wagging their finger in judgement at us or something...

Well compared to the other euro colonizers, the Brits have at least the highest number of successful ex colonies. For example, look at Spain, 99% of their colonies are 3rd world crapholes.

I apologize to legitimate buyers. I had a horrible horrible experience last year with a group of Chinese scalpers. 1 was in line in front of me and after an hour of standing there about 10 more cut in front of me so I said something. Somehow none of them could speak English and when I said something to an Apple employee coming around they did nothing. Needless to say the phone I was in line for became sold out so I settled for my 2nd choice. I was a little angry when I saw the pictures in this story and again I apologize.

I live 10 minutes from Doncaster and that photo doesn't surprise me one bit. You can walk around Box Hill and Doncaster & feel like you're in another country. Add in an iPhone launch and the ability for opportunists to make some cash and yeah, it just makes things even less white, if you get me drift. At the risk of sounding like a horrible human being my husband and I are aick of living here (particularly at the lack of respect shown to common decency - neighbours dumping their rubbish around us etc). We'd not surprised by the composition of that queue and I'd be surprised if most of those new phones will be in their purchasers' pockets by the end of the month. That said, I do like living close to an apple store most of the time!

Poor Samsung. All that time, money and energy spent telling me why their phone is better than the iPhone seems to be ineffective.

Need to be communcal

I don't get why people don't preorder.

I think many of these people do it for the experience, to be seen, and to "commune" with other Apple Acolytes. I'm not demeaning them, just saying...

Hey, I get it, but the mods won't take too kindly to your garlic comment at the end.

O sounds like where I'm from, lady.

O wait this stuff bothers you. Don't come to NYC. :apple:

I dont understand this with pre-ordering

what does the average store get on a first shipment 30-50 units?

now with 3 colours and 6 various sizes (screen and storage) what are the odds you will get the one you actually want?

if there is already 10 people in line you might was well walk away

I'm going to miss waiting in line overnight. I have done it for every release in my two year cycle. I even got my girlfriend to join last year to experience it and she had a blast. I was unable to do it this year so I pre-ordered two 6 Plus phones. I held them for pickup so tomorrow at 8:30 am I will stop by UPS and be on my way.
