It is the H2K chip with unlocked clocks for the over clocking crowd. Just wait until they are outfitted with water cooling. Is it the same H2 chip? Is that known for sure that it is an identical H2 chip and they simply software locked it, or does it have an H2 Rev. B? I'm not saying that it is beyond Apple to do that, but it would be extraordinarily petty of them.
I don't think it's that big a deal to many since the majority of people can't tell the difference between well encoded lossy and lossless (https://www.soundguys.com/is-lossless-audio-worth-it-83392/#). Petty nonetheless if true though.
It was reported earlier today that Apple will not be selling a USB-C charging case by itself.I think the only thing anybody actually cares about here is whether there will be a USB-C case sold (under $100) that works with the existing AirPods Pro 2.

Apple Not Offering USB-C AirPods Pro Cases As a Standalone Purchase
Apple on Tuesday made second-generation AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case available to order, but unlike its move to wireless charging cases,...www.macrumors.com
Want USB-C? You'll have to spend $250 for a new pair of AirPods Pro 2.
This is the (Apple) way.
Classic AppleThis is the most Apple thing, EVER. Unbelievable.
I think it’s open back sound like a Graco headphones so everybody in the room will hear you, but if you don’t want to be heard, you have to use the AirPods Pro.I don't understand. Doesn't the Vision Pro already have audio?🍸🙀
And you know this how?No you couldn't.
I have no idea... but maybe they are basically doing the same as what the industry has done with processors a long time.. its basically the same thing but with different parts/functions enabled or disabledwhat makes the new AirPods Pro lossless if they both have the same H2 chip I dont understand

This just strikes me as strange andunusual.
Based on the announcement page, it looks like audio is built in so wonder what one gets with the updated AirPod Pros and the vision pro? Lossless then one couldn't get via the headset itself. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though. That's what I was wondering too
The reason for this is simple and obvious: Apple has had three consecutive quarters in which they failed to grow sales year over year. They need to sell more product and the VP isn’t going to do the trick on its own.
Forcing people to upgrade AirPods Pro 2 is a very Samsung kind of move.
And you know this how?
Did you own the hardware I owned and use it daily?
No you didn’t.
