I'm sure that's one of the questions that the writers want us to be asking, hopefully we'll get an answer soon.

Hawking said that there could be some unexpected results if not everyone went back. I'm assuming Sun not traveling back is one of them.

i don't remember the runway from past episodes. hmm, when was this?

IIRC in the first few episodes of Series 3, when Sawyer and Kate are imprisoned and forced to work on the runway by the others/hostiles.

I want to know how they are going to get out of 1977!?!
All this time travelling is confusing me. Also, when Sun and Lapidus spoke to Christian, he said they have quite a journey ahead of them, presumably meaning they are going to meet the rest of the gang (in 1977?)

I'll be very interested to see how they tie all this together. Only a season and a half left isnt it?

When Kate and Sawyer were captives of the Others in the Polar bear cages in the Dharma camp they were put to work breaking rocks. When they asked why, Juliet said they were building a runway.

ahh, okay. thank you for clearing that up. i have such a bad memory!

So what happened with Daniel Faraday???
Sawyer, when asked about Faraday by Jack, said he is not here anymore !!

Also Ben met with Saied when he was a child, that means that Ben knew who he was before he came to the island ? while Saied just realized that he met him before but didnt know it yet?! that is so confusing....

Interesting parallel: Sayid's first meeting with Ben was when Ben was being held prisoner by Jack et al, and Sayid went in to interrogate him. Now Ben's first meeting with Sayid is with Sayid as prisoner, and it looks like Ben will be going to him and asking him some questions.

Is there any indication from past episodes that Ben has known Sayid this whole time?

My bet is that his grief over loosing Charlotte made him go kind of crazy and he's now considered a hostile/independant by the Dharma initiative people...

My guess is that he got in trouble for scaring the crap out of young Charolette when he warns her to leave the island and never come back.

EDIT: You're right. I was misled by the three missing episodes in the Wikipedia list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lost_episodes

Phew. Still only 25 episodes to go.

The season finale episode title, man that's a spolier in itself, makes me highly anticipate it further, definatly this one will be a milestone episode. The best season finale was probably the end of season 2 for me, so it's good to see more of the Swan's history toward the end of season 5

I missed out of the first series so when I finally watched it on DVD there was no tension. 2's was brilliant, I thought 3's was okay. 3 really deeped the mythos IMO and whilst overall it was a dull series it still made me want more.

The Incident Part 2?

(In white, for the people that think its a Spoiler)

How is it a spoiler? I don't get it.

Do you remember I think the first scene in Season 5? Where Farday passed the asian scientist of Darhma in the construction site? I'm sure he will disguise himself as part of Darhma and reshow that scene.

Maybe that happened already (sometime within the past 3 years, before the Oceanic 6 returned). Farraday wasn't in disguise though. That was the job he was given by the Dharma people once Sawyer and the rest became integrated with the Dharma Initiative.

Anyone notice that the picture of the Dharma Initiative showed Hurley and Kate facing the camera, but when they showed the picture being taken moments later, Hurley turned to his right and Kate turned to face him right as it was taken.

I doubt that was an accident...I just don't know what the significance is.

Not literally, I just mean that most of the time the episodes tend to have evasive titles, whereas this one is obviously referring to 'the incident' at the Swan that meant concrete had to be poured thick to cover up something Chernobyl style (as refered to by Sayid), and a new protocol of entering the numbers every 104-108 minutes had to be established.

Speaking of the numbers, I watched the last episode again and noticed that just before the plane is about to land on the runway, the numbers are broadcast, but you only hear the first 4, which sound like 1, 3, 15, 16 ...
I might be miss-hearing it, but I'm sure that's what it sounds like to me.

EDIT: Never mind, it definately was 4, 8 not 1, 3

so u think they were building it for their own reasons, or cause they somehow knew it was going to be used in the future by someone coming back from the future to warn them?

Well, I guess Ben would have known that he was going to be on that plane and it would be important to help his chances of surviving the crash landing.

Of course, the whole time paradox thing is a little baffling to me.

he would have had to gone back to 2004 from 2007 to warn him self then. i suspect more time travel...
