Daniel didn't "bump" into Chang. Remember he was sitting in the jeep and was asked what he was doing he said wait any time now. Ok there he his. That's when Chang drove up. Daniel knew the exact moment Chang would arrive which tells me he knew what was going to happen as soon as he entered the others camp. He knew he was going to die. Which makes me believe it was in his journal.

So..He knew his mother "Ellie" would kill/shoot him.

Charlotte is his girlfriend that's why he told the young Charlotte to get off the island.

Is Daniel old enough to be a child on the island? Maybe we find him peaking from behind a tree to see what happened... Charlotte being his childhood friend???

woah what happened with Cusick (guy who plays Desmond)? when did this happen? i dont think they can just write him out now.

Thank you, Harvey Levin.

I don't think they'll write him out because of it.... I was being sarcastic (hence, the ).

Yeah, probably. We don't know where he was born. It's possible that, because he was born on the island, he has his special intelligence "gift".

you know how Faraday was talking about a series/chain of events that's coming up soon? drilling further releases the energy, they build the hatch, desmond dosn't press the buttons, the plane crashes. he says they need to stop the chain from happening by preventing those events, thus breaking the chain etc.
whats going to happen is they will attempt to stop it but every attempt will fail. when finaly it gets to the last thing (Desmond not pressing the button in the hatch) and someone convinces him to press it adverting the whole thing, Flight 815 lands and the last scene of the series is Everyone looking around when getting off the plane and Jack and kate catch each other's eye for just a second and then the camera is tight on Jacks face and he says "Where have a seen her before?" and fade to black.

hmm interesting theory i gotta say. it's definitely possible. but it doesnt seem very Lost like to me. i dont really have a better one tho haha. i hope that in between they answer all of our questions. that is the only way that ending wouldnt piss me off

some ppl have mentioned a loop that the show is going to start the same way that it began. after this season i am going to watch the whole thing again. its a tradition that my friends and i have. it never gets boring. i have faith that they are going to pull of something pretty incredible.

Oh and in regards to my previous post. Its going to get pretty intense towards the end with meeting all these dead lines. im predicting that the majority of season 6 is going to be about that. with the last half of the season as all one day i guess.:D idk. the whole thing is so $#%@ confusing.:D

EDIT: In regard to VS re-watching the series. once the whole thing ends, i want to get it on blu ray and watch it straight threw to. missed out on most of season 1&2. didnt really start watching until season 3.

it's quite an experience. we usually watch it straight. 1 season a day. after it is all over maybe we'll try watching the whole thing straight thru but that would be pretty hard with out some serious drugs. by the end their will probably be 120 episodes and thats like 84 hours. i dunno maybe its possible:rolleyes::p

I would like to watch this show so all the events are in chronological order.

that would be pretty awesome. i bet someone with good editing skills could make that happen. they could just rip all the dvd's and re-edit them probably take a long time but would be really cool.

or we could suggest it to the Lost people. but i dont think they would go for it.

But you have to take into account the two skeletons from the first season. Somehow they have to factor into this

the 2 skeletons are rose and bernard.
they wandered around for a year, lost, then starved.

Sayid is somewhere in 1977 as well.

But isn't it still just a paradox in that if they avert the disaster by being there, then they never would have been there, thus not averting the disaster... etc etc?

I don't see how Faraday's plan makes any sense.

You need to ask what is Daniel's main concern ? He seems to be the variable.
His main concern isn't the island. His main concern is Charlotte. Remember she disappeared a few episodes back. I think Faraday is doing everything to try to keep her from disappearing. Thus blowing up the island and stopping the plane crash would keep her from disappearing. Like nothing ever happened. Life as they knew it in the 60's would remain the same.

Charlotte is the key to all of this.

Maybe Sawyer and Juliet? I noticed they took great care to show them holding hands in the last episode.

Of course, they have to get away from Mr. Psycho, Radzinsky, or whatever his name is. I'm hoping that Sawyer or Sayid get five minutes alone with that guy.

There are lots of pairings who could turn out to be "Adam and Eve" -- Jack and Kate, Jack and Juliet, Sawyer and Kate, Sawyer and Juliet, Desmond and Penny, Charlie and Claire, Widmore and Hawking ...

If I got to pick, I'd choose Alex and Carl ...

I don't see how Faraday's plan makes any sense.

Agree totally ... How can Faraday say people's lives will be "better" if the plane doesn't crash? He may well be creating even greater personal hells for everyone concerned ... And we're talking some whacko physics, too. Even if his journal says the energy somehow is contained, why wouldn't it be magnified? ... And what happens to causality if the castaways change the past?

I'm getting a headache.

what i want to know is how setting off an H-Bomb IMPROVES the situation?!?!

The Swan was my favorite station. RIP - Swan

Nobody will really feel the hbomb going off because they will all be put back to where they would have been if the plane had never crashed.

I've always thought that the plane crash was fate's way of saving each of the Losties: Jack from his downward spiral, Hurley from his disastrous post-lottery luck, Kate from prison, Sawyer from his obsessive quest for revenge, Locke from his pitiful life and job, Charlie from a decadent life leading to a drug overdose, the marriage of Sun and Jin, Desmond from being "not good enough" for Penny, and so on. Obviously, it didn't help Shannon or others who died.

I think that somehow preventing the original crash of Flight 815, and having them all return to those lives, would be a disappointing series outcome for a lot of us fans.

I think it would be a disappointing outcome for most of the losties too. It's just like the two sides of the losties who either wanted to stay on the island or go when the freighter first got there. The ones who wanted to leave the island thought their lives would have been better without the crash, while the ones who wanted to stay thought this was a new beginning.

yea i agree with you guys. i dont like the outcome of it all never happeneing cause they fixed "the incident." it would sort of make the whole show pointless if that happened. i just have no idea what outcome would satisfy me but i have faith that they will pull off something great.

I feel like season 5 is going to end with the bomb going off and because of that, everything that happened didn't and the time travelers are back in the present day living their everyday lives... and then we see Shannon and Boone... alive!

Please don't let that happen. You can't change what happened Farraday is wrong! *sigh* Is it Wednesday yet?
