i feel your pain. its going to be torture having to wait for season 6. after only having to wait a week or at the most 2 it's going to feel like an eternity.

yes i have a feeling the end of this season is going to piss us off so much because we are going to have to wait and better part of the year until the next season. Even more than normal.

I think that somehow preventing the original crash of Flight 815, and having them all return to those lives, would be a disappointing series outcome for a lot of us fans.

And it would be the easy way out. I'm really banking on them coming up with something else (that is, something better).

Or maybe we get a few episodes where the plane does land in LA ... Locke is still wheelchair bound, Claire gets guilty for giving up her baby, Kate's in jail, Jin and Sun hate each other, Sayid never sees Nadia again ... and the last season is all about making the original Oceanic 815 crash.

Of course, the other 100 people on 815 who perished in the original crash (I'm thinking particularly about the poor guy who got sucked into the turbine) might actually prefer the plane land safely. Wonder if they get a vote?

RIP dynamite man.

Finally... I get to post in the Lost thread.

I watched seasons 1-5 in 2 weeks. Last week's episode was the first one that I watched on TV.

I also followed the old Lost thread while I was watching all the episodes. It was nice to be able to see things that I missed in the episode and read other people's thoughts about the show wile I was watching it. The only thing that sucked was that I couldn't share my thoughts because it was an old thread.

I'm really looking forward to this week's episode because
Wikipedia says that the featured character is Richard
. I think that we should be finding out a lot of the island's history soon.

welcome to Lost.

i hope that is the case. he has always been one of the most interesting characters.

This is great to hear - it would be almost impossible to have an episode which features Richard without answering at least a few long-standing questions.

Hey guys+gals, I know it's not too big of a deal, but when you quote the white text, it goes on a gray background and is easier to read. I don't mean to be a pain, i just really hate spoilers, haha. So in the future when quoting a post that has the spoilers in white text, just get rid of them from the quote if you don't mind. Thanks!

Wouldn't it just be easier if you didn't read Lost related threads rather than asking everyone else to modify their behavior?

^^^^^ dude, the title of this thread says that it includes spoilers. That is fair warning.
It's not that your request is impossible, but I mean, come on- it's in the freakin title. There aren't any rules that people have to use white text either- if that spoiler was written in normal text, that would have been just fine too.

Trust me, I hate spoilers as much as or more than the next TV fan. With these threads though, I feel like putting the first spoiler in white is more of a courtesy - like a warning that says "don't read on if you don't want to see it!". It's easy enough to skim through the next few posts to find a safe ground. Conversely, if you come across a spoiler that you don't want to know about, just wait a few days and then come back and discuss!

Maybe it's just me, but I can't clearly read the white text on the light gray background without really straining and trying to read it. It's not that hard to skim over the spoiler text, especially when it's usually contained inside
blocks.

It says "includes spoilers on show nights" I always assumed that meant if you haven't seen the episode yet, there will be posts about that episode. I guess you can read it how you want, but it seems pretty clear to me that it doesn't include spoilers about upcoming episodes. If it's too much of a pain to delete the line of spoilers from a reply, fine. I think I asked pretty nicely and thought it would be a relatively easy thing to do.

It's just that if you just skim over it, it could catch your eye and you could notice a word or two you wish you hadn't. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a pain, I just thought it would be a nice courtesy to those of us who don't want to see the spoilers.

did you read this?

If so, then the
blocks aren't quite as useful as you might have thought.

I just think that this thread is a fun place to go after the show airs to talk about what just happened, and don't want to find out too much. I now understand that it's too much to ask. Thanks anyways.

^^^^ Haha. Nice.

I don't get what you're trying to prove there- you didn't even use white text. Eh, whatever, never mind, I don't care anymore.

It was a fun place to go............geez. :p

I can't wait until Wednesday, so we can get back to actually talking about the show.

i didnt take a special trip to go see them but i was there about three months ago and some them. it's pretty incredible how they turn Hawaii into all those different locations.

i think i was watching the lost podcast and they talked about how they have one street that has been like London, berlin, New york, etc. its crazy. and pretty believable.
