They hinted in prior episodes that Jack's dad is hers as well. The one where Anna Lucia was his bodygaurd in Sydney.

More teasing about Locke and his paralysis.

And Locke uses a Polish Mine Detector.

Sweet episode so far.
Wow how predictable. I almost thought Jack would turn out to be Claire's uncle there for a sec, but they went the straight pedictable route.

Edit:
Next week Locke's story. The one we've been waiting for. Finally!

Definitely! It's about time they start talking about Locke some more. Who knows, perhaps they'll start explaining why his character has turned into a kind of Charlie Brown all of a sudden...

Overall, though, I liked last night's episode, bummer that eye-patch guy is dead, he was interesting. Also, I'm dead to know why Jack was acting all chummy with the Hostiles!

Last night Lost FINALLY got back on track.

We now know that Ben isn't the guy in charge Patch eye was referring to. He started to say that before someone interrupted him. Again, Locke kills the flow of information when he cuts off Kate. Sayid is still trying to figure out where Locke is going with all this.

It certainly seems that there are two different groups at work on the Island, Ben's group and a second group, of which we don't know which group is the hostiles... The producers more or less talked about this in one of their interviews though.

Also, whats up with the security system? Is it to keep people out or keep people in? Could this be the beginning of the merge with the "Others" as if that would really happen?

I kinda like Claire with that bit of Goth thing going on. It was an interesting flash back.

Another reference to the "Your Flawed". He (Patch eye) pretty much pointed out everyone in the group except Locke.

I was sorry to see him go too, as he probably had more answers than we've heard from any character in a long time.

I'm guessing there was a message when he did the "Click if there has been an incursion of the hostiles" other than blowing up the shack and he know's something. That's how he knew about the C4 and why he brought some with him.

I've got it all figured out...

Let me apologize in advance if this has already been mentioned (it's so obvious, all of a sudden, that I'm sure someone else has discovered this too)

I was thinking about the whole Lost thing in the shower this morning, and suddenly I figured it all out! Now stay with me here, it's a little hard to chew on at first, but it goes down easy after that...

* The island is the home of Christmas Village
* The Others are actually Santa's elves, gone mad.
* The "Great Man" is Ol' St. Nick himself
* This expains the naughty and nice list the Others are always working from.
* The elves have gone nuts because they don't spend time making presents anymore--the rampant commercialization of Christmas from the mid-20th century on has put them out of work. "Ben," the head elf, has exploited the situation to seize power but keeps Santa around as an impotent figurehead.
* The giant magnetic field under the hatch is the north magnetic pole.
* That explains why you need a submarine to get to the island normally--you need to travel under the arctic ice (the other way to get to the island is through a warp in space and time when an event occurs--obviously too unstable to use for regular travel.)
* This explains the snow-globe hint at the end of season 2.
* Now we know where the polar bears came from.
* Christmas magic keeps the north pole warm, causing the polar ice to melt in a relatively small radius around the pole, exposing the island.

I could go on and on, but I think you will agree that this really is the most reasonable explanation.

Edit: oh yeah, and Locke is like Tiny Tim from Charles Dicken's Christman Story, with 'is bum leg.

I **really** hope that's true, otherwise they've taken a great character and ruined him.

iSee, that's quite good :D that guy (totally forgot his name again) playing catch with Jack, the beard guy rings true of Santa too. In the right suit he wouldn't look out of place at a Grotto somewhere.

I did like that episode. I didn't care at all for Claires backstory, she just hasn't come across, barring her baby, as important at all. she just complains and dumps Charlie every other episode.

I got the impression through that episode that Locke might even be an other. Getting a little suspicious and is acting just as the others do when caught.

Good grief, I completely zoned out and forgot to watch Lost last night. I guess that shows you how much I'm into the show at this point. Oh well, it should be up on iTMS if it isn't already...

Ive given up all hope that this series has any point at all. I still enjoy watching it, but its taken so long to give up anything of much substance that I dont think there is any way the writters can clean this mess up in a satisfactory way. Dont get me wrong though. Still a fun show.

Claire is irritating.
And as this episode was alot about Claire, I got a bit bored with it.

Luckily Locke saved the day. He is back from being "some dumb ass" to being mysterious again.

Good to know Ben wasn't the "superior being".

Yea I was totally expecting the "he's a great man" bit again. Also what's with the others not caring about dying? First that woman last week, then iPatch guy gets his brain destroyed and thanks Locke.

That's what confused me. It looked a tiny bit like Locke was an other when he pushed the guy into the sonic field thing, as if he didn't want him to give away any more secrets (good list?).

Hmms

Soo, Don't you watch Lost on Sky then? We're not that far behind now, far better than Channel 4. I still download it though, we dont have sky+ in our house, and I'm never in the same room as the sky that late on a sunday.

Sky is horrible. I'm not a fan really :p no adverts on the downloads either!

I suppose this episode puts rest the questions from the first episode; that their village is on the island after all. But I suppose that's not important anymore...

The Ukrainian guy with the eye-patch was about to telle a secret about Locke's identity. You could sense from Locke's face that he was embarrassed. I guess this is why he pushed the guy through the sonic fence.

Also, what is your take on Jack playing football? Do you think he is one of the others? What is going on there?

Well he started about locke being paralyzed initially. It seems like none of the other crash survivors know that. I'm guessing it was a secret he didn't want told!

I expect he probably got brainwashed some how. Will probably spend the next 3 episodes getting him out and then another 4 de-programming him.

I say they get captured and Kate starts whinning all over agian, and after they get out she starts shouting "We can't leave you!" or "We have to go back for him, we can't leave him."

She is second only to Jack that I don't care about anymore.

Stellar episode this evening..

Learn lots about Locke. Pretty good episode through and through.

Don't know how I feel about the ending though..
