Those weren't code names, just their last names (Austen and Jarrah).

Anyway, excellent episode tonight, first in a while that really makes me wish I didn't have to wait a week for the next one.

Yeah, but next week (probably) only covers what is going on at the other side of the island, with Sawyer and Hurley and the gang, rather than Jack and Kate.

Gahh I can't stand this! This is like the 100th time they've gotten the opportunity to ask the Others some questions, yet not ONE TIME does anybody get the notion to say "by the way, what IS that smoke monster that use to kill people in the jungle?" I mean, its not like a monster made of smoke that can toss people around is something that you commonly FORGET about.

And how come they stroll through the jungle now like its a walk in the park? THERE IS A SMOKE MONSTER THERE!!!! Did I miss the episode where they killed it or something??

well it isn't like it was one of the first things to greet them on the island  oh wait  but I agree and also agree such a wasted movement to find out some answers. sadly i think like said before next week will be about the other side of the island and not about stuff at the others camp. good news is that lost seems to have gotten sorta back on track, i hope.

Hooray for last night's episode! Definitely one of the best this season. I hope LOST can return to a Season 1 kind of pace with things.

Before I forget, had anyone else heard that Locke was paralyzed because he was the other driver who was in a wreck with Boone & Sharron's dad? Did I make that up?

I think that was one of the theories on the fan sites.

Good episode, they really need to pick up the pace of giving us the answers.

Whats up with the Magic Box? Out pops Locke's father?

Does this have anything to do with Walt's abduction, he could actually control the Magic box? Maybe he taught them how to control it. It sounds like Ben was surprised when Locke's dad popped out. Could it be why they are looking for specific individuals based on what comes out of the box?

I need to get a life

The show is really getting back on track, although they are still too slow with some answers.

I have the same problem with the show, but for different reasons. Why oh why is nobody saying to the others
"Ok so you don't like us, we get that. Most of us don't want to be on this island anyway, so instead of constantly terrorizing, kidnapping, torturing, shooting at each other... how about you help us get off the freaking island and we'll be out of your hair!" (win-win in my understanding thus far)

Even if the others said no and even hinted at why the others refuse to assist these people it would answer a big question in my book.

Last nights episode marked the first time I though Locke was being a complete moron. Destroying the sub was just dumb, I can't see any advantage to this, the reason that Ben gave was that Locke didn't want to leave... but then again I can't see anybody trying to force him to leave either. Locke was my favorite character, as he was flawed yet strong, had faith but questioned it (all in all one of the more realistic characters in the show).... now I think I'm starting to seem him as an easily manipulated dupe.:(

Well we know that Jack's ex-wife was one of the drivers in that accident and that Sharon's dad (not Boone's) was impaled by the Driveshaft.

I had always hoped that it was a chain reaction from Kate's escape driving that cause one massive pile up, killing her friend, causing Jack's ex-wife to slam into Sharon's dad and also causing Locke to wreck causing his paralysis... one accident tying many together...

Guess it could still happen without Locke.

Quite a good episode. Finally they deal with a character who the audience wanted to see. But to have Lockes dad appear at the end?

So they need radio communication to get back to the island? Sounds a little Matrix-y to me.

13 episodes later and we're still waiting to see what happened when the outside world got wind of the anomaly. Didn't they say "it's in the Pacific"? should have said "could you be more specific?" :p

If I need to delete this because some of you might not watch the previews for next week's ep...please let me know (AND DON'T READ AHEAD IF YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE!)

Anyone wanna make bets on who's going to die next week?

Ditto! It has long frustrated me that the "others" treat the survivors of the crash as though they *wanted* to be on the island in the first place.

The box is intriguing, but pretty far-fetched. Is it supposed to be some sort of Mirror of Erised type device:confused:

Nikki or Paulo. Next week's episode is supposed to be about them... and pretty much anyone who's died has done so in their own episode (re: Boone, his sister, Eko, Ana Lucia).

I heard that one of them actually dies, and another one... "doesn't" (something about spiders, diamonds and burying............). Hope I haven't said too much.

That actually sounds pretty good. Strange, outlandish, but cool. I'm a nerd, though, what do I know? :D

Oh, and a Smoke Monster, a Submarine, an island that nobody can find and all the imaginary things (i.e. Kate's Horse) is more plausible? :D

Just kidding. This is LOST!

Pretty interesting episode. Focuses primarily on Paulo and Nikki.

They went back to the beginning, got to see Arzt, Boone and Shannon again.

Enjoy it at 10 :p
