Ah thanks. I missed an episode or two early in the season this year. Always takes me a while to get back into the swing of a TV schedule. :)

Yeah but how did she get THAT picture? Desmond got that picture from the photographer right? Only one copy and he had it with him. So where did the other copy come from or was there 2 of them taken? CAN'T remember.

That looked like a photocopy/laser printout. There was (IIRC) only one shot of them, but someone might have "borrowed" it and scanned it.

What I want to know is how a short-range vehicle like a helo made it to wherever they are?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I don't want to read the thread since I missed the episode last night. Anyway, I'm a little annoyed that the new episode is not up on iTunes yet. Usually when I miss an episode, I buy it the next morning. Hope it gets put up soon.

If you've subscribed, use "Check for Purchases" and it'll start downloading. otherwise, you'll have to wait. Who knows why.

Anyone notice that Desmond didn't see the photograph on the monks desk? What's the "sodding ring" woman doing back?
Perhaps, but at the time of the flashback, he didn't know her, and so it's not that hard to imagine he wouldn't have remembered seeing her.

I mean does anyone actually care about this love triangle with Jack/Kate/Sawyer?
Not so much, but that scene where Sawyer walked in on Kate - that I cared about. ;)

Very interesting point. If someone were to have made a copy, who? Didn't Desmond pretty much leave right then? How would the copy have been made? Perhaps a story-line slip-up.

That pic of the all knowing lady with the monk is the WORST hack photoshop job I have ever seen. Somebody on the lost crew needs to get freakin fired!
God, you're right! :D I looked at it again. The shadows aren't even remotely right, among numerous other issues. It was probably a last minute hack job by someone who'd forgotten how well HD shows things. ;)

You may not be interested, but you can watch Lost episodes for free on abc.com in near-iTunes quality with limited commercials (plus, it's already available).

He and Penny had the picture taken a few moments before they broke up and went their separate ways. Good question about how there could be another copy. Similar question with Juliet knowing about Sawyer killing a man the day before he boarded the plane in Sydney.

It's possible that the "others" saw it as a news story.

But how would they know it was Sawyer? Middle of nowhere, no cameras (possibly?).

My guess... and it's a looong shot... is perhaps the Losties have been 'engineered' throughout their lives. Fixing events to construct a certain type of person eligable to live on the island? The guy Sawyer shot could perhaps have been wearing some kind of protection, made Sawyer leave at that moment to get on that plane. or whatever.

I've heard more ridiculous explanations. At this point, I think anything is possible.

If Sawyer has a criminal record (which is very possible), it wouldn't be entirely unlikely for the police to link Sawyer to the murder. This could later end up on the news as:
"James Ford kills a man the night before before boarding Oceanic Flight 815 which was lost over Pacific."

Yeah I know, but I'd much prefer to watch in on my nice TV with my shiny new Apple TV. It was put up sometime this afternoon so by the time I got home I was able to buy it (and watch). Thought it was a pretty good episode, but I'm not sure that it really answered any questions at all.

Hmm. Interesting question. But not as interesting as The Flash, or Superman?
Hurley knows his facts. The Flash is faster than Superman. After all, The Flash is a specialist.

Actually, if you check carefully, you'll find that the speed of a superhero is "just fast enough to get out of the latest predicament".

I just had a really obscure dream about Lost, that apparently it was to abruptly end after series 3.

It was snowing on the island. Jack did a Solid Snake and crept around the island, knocked some guy (wasn't an "other") out and took his coat, jumped into a boat and ended up in French Polynesia. They didn't even show everyone else leaving and I remember coming on here only to hear a barrage of complaints about the crappy ending!
Then I read the dreaded words - "Spinoff confirmed"...
