Wow, nice preview.
So they are in the twilight zone? Or the Others have manipulated the information about the crash.
On another note... Sun has 2 months to live. They have been on the island 3 months = 3 seasons. The writers plan for the show to last 5 seasons. Do the math and I guess they want Sun's immenant death to hang over for the rest of the series.

Survivors all dead...
WTF?!
This better not be some purgatory ********!
Again, the Others probably faked the death reports to the out side world so no one would come looking for them or find the island. I imagine they would have done the same thing for Desmond. But I guess Penny wouldn't give up.

Sun has two months to live if you believe what Juliet says.... her group does have a rep for for misinformation...

We've seen her lose pregnant women she's treated in her flash back. Also her little "I hate you" to Ben suggest she's not really a team player.
I was sure Sun was going to catch her leaving the message at the end.
And the amount of time Sun has left? If you do the math. It seems 3+2 months = series finale.

Nice twist. Don't make too much of it yet.

Agreed. It was a nice twist. I'm guessing it was the writers taking a jab at all the people who have been saying LOST takes place in Purgatory. I've also read that the writers have soundly rejected that theory, so nothing to worry about that. Like a poster above, I'm calling it an "Others coverup."

Decent episode though - I love that Patchy is still alive.....very interested to see where they go with that one.

Seriously, this was definitely a WTF episode.

Patchy comes running out of the Jungle? WTF

They found the plane wreckage? WTF

Jin is the father? WTF

Jin can kick some ass? WTF - OK, not so much, but I thought it was funny since Samir had more trouble with Patchy... Then again, I guess dieing takes a lot out of a guy...

And just for good measure... WTF

Hey thats a nice reasonable deduction- I like it. :)

First thoughts - purgatory. 2 seconds later - faked documents to make sure the world didn't look for them.

Going back to the first 6 episodes, what if that huge crowd of people were being put back on a plane and they crashed that?
I had an inclining that the eye patch guy wasn't dead. Was hoping that somebody would have shot him just to be sure. Also, does this incriminate Locke any further? He could have been part of the plan all along.
Was a great episode though! Seems to be getting better and better.

But the show keeps creating questions. GIVE ME SOME FREAKING ANSWERS, is what I'd like to saw to the writers.

True! I'm sick of the lack of answers, but there feels to be something building up in the background. Probably just the series finale creeping up on us. How many episodes left? 6?

I like it when the series slowly comes to an end and they stop those crappy, voice-less music scenes that take up 3-5 minutes. Usually includes slow-motion.

There are 5 or 6 episodes left this season, but the series probably won't end this season. I'm betting on one or two more seasons. Personally, I think they need to wrap it up, so I'm hoping for just one more.

I'm starting to think that we should just forget about getting any answers and look forward to the major plot lines having some resolution.

No, I think they remember all of the questions, and will answer them, just not quickly enough for my tastes. I'm pretty sure they will becuase they do keep bringing up the invisible monster periodically throughout the seasons.

Anyone catch the numbers Sun's father entered into the safe? Or should we just take probably likely educated guess ;)

Why didn't Sun just ask her father to kill the woman..?

Consider this. Had Sun had the woman killed or just told her father which is the same thing. Her father wouldn't have made Jin one of his thugs. Jin wouldn't be doing all sorts of unsavory things, working all hours of the night. Sun wouldn't have felt compelled to learn English and run. She wouldn't have had the affair and neither one would have been on the plane. All very tragic.

Just checked it... looks like he's typing in somethign like 4-3-4.... and then something else. Definitely not the legendary code though!

Great episode by the way! I didn't care much for Sun's flashbacks at first, but the plot twists were excellent. They kind of overloaded this episode with them! Hope they can keep it up for the rest of the season. And I also hope (probably false hope) that we'll start getting some serious answers before the season ends!

Edit: forgot to ask: this episode is called "D.O.C.". Anybody have any idea what that stands for? (besides the obvious reference to doctor).

I for one, would rather have more questions than answers. It makes the show far more interesting. ...I love it when a fact answers one question but just makes two more.

Date of Conception

Next week?

It wouldn't be a J.J. Abrams show without a slow-motion montage. At least they're not set to stupid sappy pop music like on Alias. Did he do this on Falicity too?
Oh, and if Patchy can come back to life what does that mean for all the tail section survivors who died. Well they were all burried. Then again Jack never did find his father's body. Nay, wounds heal abnormally fast on the island. Maybe he just wasn't too dead.
Any one wanna guess at what happens next week. Because that was probably the coolest preview all season. Unless you're one of those purists who doesn't want spoilers.
I'll make some space for them since real spoilers require white text...

So Locke has kidnapped Ben and wants Sawyer to kill him, because Locke can't do it himself. Wonder why Locke can't do it? And why Sawyer? And why Ben has a bag over his head.
I would say it's not Ben under the hood, but Locke's father. The only problem with that is they have completely different body types. It would be kind hard for Sawyer not to notice.
Has it been established if Locke's father was the conman "James" was looking for? If the Others told Locke about Kate's past did they tell him about "James"? Might be why he chooses Sawyer to help kill whoever is under that hood. Ooooor, it's a trap and Locke truely has changed sides.
