Organ Courier, anyone? ;)

Gah, more questions!

  • Do Michael and Walt make it out on the boat?
  • What happened to Locke, Eko, and Desmond? Alive, or dead?
  • Where exactly are the Portuguese chess players? It looks like they were either in the Arctic (which might explain the polar bear) or the Antarctic (which would be closer to where we assume the island is).
  • Is the hatch destroyed?
  • What's gonna happen to Jack, Kate, ad Sawyer?
  • What about Sayid, Jin, and Sun?

Questions

1.Who's in charge now that Jack is separated from his people?
2.Are Echo and Lock still alive? (well if charlie survived...)
3.Will we get regular updates on Desmonds rescue party every episode next season?
4.Are the Others therapists sent to sort out this screwy love triangle?

That was fantastic. Can't wait until September (or whenever season three begins).

Did anyone catch the Hanso commercial? I generally mute commercials and by the time I noticed it and un-muted it, it was over.

Oh..... My..... God.....

Wait, so is this whole thing an operation of Pam's dad in attempt to keep Desmond away, or what? I'm confused.:(

BTW, "Henry"'s advice to Michael to follow an exact heading of 325 (which is pretty much north by northwest) would imply that the island is enclosed within some sort of structure (physical, electromagnetic, "cloaking shield", etc.) and that the one exit is located at that bearing.

I'd be interested to see if Sayid will attempt to follow Michael.

i really don't see how he could, he won't even see Michael leaving most likely.

I do not think anything was answered - just more questions....aargh!

lots of things were answered, a lot more were asked too though.

My guess is they are searching for Desmond and might have gotten a signal from his boat during the "blast". He was in an official race. He had to have some sort of beacon.

It would also explain why Desmond didn't see anything when he sailed around, there's an illusion at least of nothing being around it anywhere except, i guess, at this one concealed spot..

Truman Show, anyone?

OK, I am pumped for next season. This is awesome. On to the interesting stuff...

First of all, Widmore- Desmond's Girl's Father. I knew I recognized this name. Turns out, this name was printed on the side of the real Henry Gale's downed Balloon. (See Below). Looks like the Widmores are doing a little search-and-rescue. Seeing as Penelope Widmore was contacted by the two Cold Bros, it would make sense that she is hunting for Desmond, and sending out searches.

Also, Desmond's buddy in the hatch... he was the Army guy in Sayid's flashback to Iraq Episode... I knew I had seen him before. I'll post some screenshots once the other LOST forums start accepting traffic.

Sorry, but that's about all the rock-solid leads I've got. Now, some questions.

Henry can't be "him", right? Despite his directive efforts on the dock at the end, there must be a higher power they're reporting to. When in the hatch, i'm pretty sure the fake Henry mentioned "Him" and how "He" was going to kill him. I don't know about you guys, but I'm convinced "He" is Hanso.

Bearing 325? "I can assure you, you won't be able to return"? It totally sounds like a snowglobe with a little hole. And if so, where? and how might those Cold Bros detect the magnetic anomoly? I can't wait to hear them explain this one... Surely the polar bear has something to do with the Cold Bros.

How did Desmond sail into the snowglobe? One-way invisible walls? Another explanation I can't wait to hear.

Will we follow Jack, Kate, and Sawyer next season? I sure as heck hope so. It could provide the show with some great depth, having the main characters somewhere comletely different. And i'm guessing it's not on the island, either... the fact that they anded on the dock seems significant to me. Honestly, when Ms. Clue picked up Hurley i was expecting her to open a trapdoor into a hatch or something.

THE FOOT!!! What the HECK is going on here? This show is darned COMPLEX! Did that look Roman to anyone else? This is most definetly going to play a HUGE part in the coming season(s), and I'm glad they just teased us with it. My mind is reeling.

How did Charlie, Locke, and Ecko survive? We can all be quite certain that none of them died, as there would be no sense in killing off Locke from the producer's standpoint... he's one of the (if not the) most important characters. Desmond may not be so lucky, as we've already learned most of his story and he already said his goodbyes... though for the second time. "See you in another life, Brotha."

Libby and Desmond? I can't wait to see where this is going. Libby obviously has some sketchy connections to other Losties, especially Hurley. I'm glad they brought her back for this episode.

That's about it for now... I should really head to bed. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!

EDIT: Looks like thehansofoundation.com is down. They must be updating it...

Could also explain why Michael was told that he couldn't come back. (Or was it "wouldn't"?)

One of the best and/or most infuriating parts of this show is that when they answer the questions, all they actually wind up doing is leaving us with new questions. I liked how Desmond's story tied up into the end, I was racking my brain trying to figure out who the guys in the Artic would be calling - if it was someone we'd already seen, or a new unknown character.

Edited to add: that thing labelled "quarantine" which fell during the electromagnetic blast - was it a box? A tile? Reminded me a lot of the Truman Show when a light falls from the roof of the giant soundstage.

So is 'Henry' the leader of the others?

Will Jack/Kate/Sawyer be brought to the folks taken from the tail of the plane?

Are Michael & Walt really freed?

Is Hurley going to find Sayid at the sailboat and then try to rescue to rest of the gang?

Was Libby in the mental hospital due to depression after her husband's death? And what was with her hair in that flashback?

Charlie seemed sorta happy that two of the main people on the island that drove him crazy may not have survived...

Didn't see your post before I added the bit about the quarantine bit. Maybe we're watching a television show which is pretending to be a reality show, and no one knows it at all..

i believe it was "wouldn't", but i'm not sure... i'm still kinda foggy on about two things here.

a. why are the guys searching in the Arctic/Antarctic, not say, in Africa, or Australia, or Iceland? not that any of those places are significant either, but an Arctic/Antarctic enviroment makes a very pointed statement about something, what is it?

b. why did the hatch cover come from the sky? if the hatch exploded, which is what makes perfect sense to me, Locke, Eko, and Desmond would be dead, and i think the first two are essential characters to the series. but if it didn't explode.. how did the cover get up in the sky? the magnet would have been pulling it toward it, not in the opposite direction.

actually, screw it, i'm foggy on everything... why did that statue/whatever have four toes? i thought it was the colossus of Rhodes, but there would not be a pointed statement about four toes then... as the Colossus of Rhodes had five, like a regular human.

it was the cover to the hatch that they blew off at the end of season 1.. makes a fitting way to end season 2 i guess :)

Who's dead

It was the door to the hatch. Which is why I thought everyone in the hatch was dead... until charlie wondered out of the jungle. I think Desmond is the only one who died.

but charlie was going out as desmond turned the key.. while Eko and Locke were still inside.

so we know why the plane crashed
the hatch is no more

i still have no clue what the hell is going on with dharma/hanso/widmore

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It's all a failed roving Disney land. Think about it....

1. The four toed statue was going to be a "tropics" Mickey with sandals and surfer shorts.

2. The monorail magnet got a bit out of hand causing the necessity of the button.

3. The Peter Pan ride had a wrecked "Black Rock" (Captain Hook's ship) with real dynamite.

4. The Others are simply the employees who finally snapped after hearing "It's a Small World" for the billionth time.

5. It explains the infatuation with the kids.

6. The Others' costumes are left over from rides/characters.

7. The hatches could all be named for Disney movies/themes "Curse of the Black Pearl" and such....

8. Finally : Who owns ABC again?
