Lost (TV show)

Unfortunately, I'm kinda with everyone else. I kept waiting for something to happen. Still waiting. Last time they went on break, I couldn't wait for them to get back. This time, I'm just hoping they take some time to stop sucking and get on with it already.

I'm sure they'll listen to fans, but as said, look at what happened to Alias, so I'm not holding my breath. One less thing to Tivo when it ends I guess. But I won't be able to stop watching until I find out what the **** is going on!

Hopefully the writers won't be able to stop writing until THEY figure out what the **** is going on (I'm not enirely sure that at this point they do..:( )

Last episode of Season 2, towards the end. Two guys bundled up in the middle of a tundra, who appear to have been hired by Desmond's girlfriend, pickup an "electromagnetic anomaly". Supposedly by detecting it, they know where the island is.

Maybe it was just another one of Hurley's dreams.

I'm pretty sure that those episodes were from the 2nd season.

You've got to remember that less than 60 days has passed on the island. The scene you are talking about only happened 5 days previous.
 
The more and more i think about it, Lost is almost like Saw, Ben is like jigsaw and somehow brings people with problems, etc to the island, etc etc

i hope the lost writers/producers learn from there and set the lost arc to 4 seasons.
so they have plenty of time to salvage this season and then provide a terrific last season.

imagine the anticipation for the final season finale.

This brings to mind another problem they've been having. With so much separation among the main characters, they're juggling a number of story lines and settings that leads to further frustration. For the first couple of episodes this season, they've devoted entire episodes to a single location: with the others vs. back at the camp. After which, I always found myself wondering what the heck was going on with the other group. However, for the last episode they've given us a bit of each, with the result that it seems like even less is likely to happen, given the short amount of time devoted to each location.

They've really got to start tying things together, in more ways than one.

Hopefully past 2 of this series will kick start with this 'rescue mission'. Or maybe they tried to find the island but it wasn't there? Of course they just can't leave the outside world bit as it was. I'm guessing that's going to climax either on episode 7 or at the end of this series.
Either way round - they better drop this soap image they're building up. They've already established what's going on.

no, they finished (i think) filming the first episode (3.07) and are filming the second (3.08).
and even on those, they can do a lot in 3 months in terms of editing/cutting and or adding new bits.

they can definitively turns thing around, if the consensus is that the "miniseries" flopped.
I know i didn't particularly liked it, but i don't know if the average funs go OMG!!BEST-EPISODE-EVER! every week.
 
Another group of "Others"

Ok, shoot me down if I'm way of base here but I've just hit on what I pretty much proves there is another group of "others" on the island who are the true baddies.

Ben keeps going on about how they are the good guys yet we have only seen them do bad stuff so far. However. We know from S3 that when the plane crashed, Ben sent Ethan and the other guy to the crash sites and told them to watch them and blend in, then come back with lists.

The tail section survivors, on there first or second night were attacked and Eko killed two of them. The guy Ben sent wasn't amongst those as he was already there and was OK. We just assumed these were part of the others.

Then when Ben has been captured and is being held at the hatch, Ann Lucia goes in to see him and he attacks her. While doing this he says "you people killed 2 of us, 2 good men".

Yes they killed Ethan and the other chap but what about the two Eko killed in the jungle at the start? I bet these are the "bad" others of the island and are also the people Russo was always on about as Ben and his lot seemed happy in there village so not likely to hassle Russo.

So I bet very soon we'll meet the "other others" and my that the eye patched fella in the other hatch is one of them.

Just my ideas anyway.

I don't think they will listen to fans -- especially since the show is doing, from what I understand, well in its time slot with all of the key demograhics. While people like us wonder when the show will get back on track, the cash cow continues to produce milk, so I don't see any incentive here for Abrams to do anything other than stretch the storyline out with pointless episodes for the remainder of this season.

Ummm... Isn't Desmond's former wife already on the island and helping Jack kill Ben? ;)

Oh wait, no she's not. Stupid show with it's bajillion characters.

but Rousseau's daughter was snagged by Ben's group. Aside from that I can see them doing it.

interesting possibility.
And Alex could have been 'saved' by ben's group from the 'other others' (or even from a homicidal Rousseau).

still, even if there were truly evil others, ben's group hardly qualifies as 'good', given their proven track record of murder, kidnapping, torture, deceit, general lack of empathy and disregard for fellow humans.
 
Didn't the "others" used to walk around barefoot? Have we seen Ben's group do this yet? Might be further evidence of other-others.
 
If there are "other-others".. well, let's just say that I will be very pissed when they make an already overly complicated plot more overcomplicated.

Exactly, they don't help themselves do they. "We are the good guys Jack, but help us else we will kill Sawyer....." Hmmm. Chav logic that.

No so far they have been pretty "normal". Plus the others tooks the kids from the tail section and we saw them in the jungle walking round all tatty and grubby. In Ben-land we haven't seen any kids yet, plus why would they be walking round the jungle dressed up like that for no reason when they have nice houses back home....

They are out there.... Do I win a night with Kate for my troubles? :D

Ben's others took Walt, and tried to take Claire's baby. They also seem to have Rousseau's child. Still doesn't explain what happened to the 2 kids from the back of the plane, but Ben's others have shown some interest in taking the kids.

Don't forget their "tatty and grubby" costumes they used when on the island where the plane crashed. We've seen "Zeke" in his fake beard and ratty clothes on multiple occasions.

I don't think there are other-others.
 
from reading the posts the main problem is that everyone wants the answers!!!
Patience is the key, i am still enjoying each episode cant wait to see how things unfold.
all the other others other others and more others doesnt matter it should all hopefully fit in sooner or later

i too wanted to find out more about the hatches, the other's village, etc. in that situation (jack's) im sure i would ask some better questions than he already has done.

im not really into any other series, and i really do quite like it despite agreeing with many of the comments and frustrations about unanswered questions. season 3 is coming out here (on sky one) this sunday, but i have already seen all 6 of the first episodes....i hate being behind the US with regards to lost. at least sky will now hopefully be closing the gap to about 4 days as opposed to 6 months or whatever it was.

didnt the others take some other children from the tail section?
