Love it so much I'm tempted to upgrade from the Sport to the SS version once stock normalises. I like the fact i can just glance at notifications without looking at my phone every 10 minutes.

My question is, do women actually find the different models and bands of Apple Watch stylish?

For me, the issue is size before we get to style.

Most other smart watches are too big for me. A lot of people have been posting on this forum saying how they were surprised by how small even the 42mm Apple watch looks. Well, for me, the 42 is definitely too big, as in it is uncomfortable to wear because of its size, and the 38 barely fits. I've seen the Moto360, for instance, and I won't be able to wear that.

Then there are things like some of the FitBits and the Microsoft Band, which come in smaller sizes, but look extremely uncomfortable to wear.

So first size, then comfort. It's a bonus that the style of the Space Grey Sport seems to work for me. I'm on the fence about the watch band selection, though. The Sports watch came with the black sports band, of course, which feels very neutral. But I'm thinking of getting a regular watch band for my Apple watch when adapters come out. Something like this, but maybe in dark brown.

But in any case, I'm probably not the right person to be talking about women's styles, as I tend to prefer styles based on men's wear but modified to fit women.

This post is awesome.

My question is, do women actually find the different models and bands of Apple Watch stylish?

Personally, as a man, I was impressed by the look of the Space Gray Sport (when I tired it on, I'm still waiting for mine). Coupled with the black sport band and the Milanese Loop that's on the way (June), my Watch will go very well with the majority of my wardrobe.

I don't think they are stylish but they are ok. Comparing to other things I've worn in the past for exercise/activity tracking, it isn't bad. The various fitbits, the Garmins, the Polars, etc. It is bigger than I'd like but so are most sport/fitness watches. I don't wear it for style though.

----------

I enjoy my watch although I have already encountered a variety of bugs (the one where it stopped asking me to unlock, yet apple pay still worked and today, it shut off and went into power save mode but then I was able to turn it off and on and it was at 40% power).

It is great to use in the gym to help me control my music and monitor my activity and even tell me how far I've walked. I can also see it driving the sales of the 6s plus because with it, you don't have to worry too much about a larger phone although the 6s plus still won't fit into some of my purses so there is that.

For my uses, as a sport watch, activity tracker and something which I can use to feed into my medical plan for points/money, it is a great thing.

I love it. Looks beautiful on the wrist, but....still no wow factor app for me yet. Very hard to respond to messages during work hours especially if its old buddies and the conversation is not work appropriate. A lot of the phone extension stuff is ok. I have it just to have it right now. I've sold and traded extensively since launch day. Went from a 42 SGS to a 38 Sport WSB to a 38 SSBSB all with only paying less than the original out of pocket price for the SGS. So Im happy Ive gotten a SS for less, but Im not sure how long the happiness effect will last. Same with my iPad Air 2. I got over it pretty quick and I sold it. My phone does everything for me, I cant live without it. My rMBP? I cant live without it. The Watch??? Eh....the jury is still deliberating.

I did have feelings of guilt after I placed an order, especially as I had intended to give the 1st generation Watch a miss, but curiosity got the better of me & I placed an order the day after pre-orders started.

Received the Watch on launch day & have been very surprised by just how much I love the Watch, it really is far better than I had expected, so no feelings of guilt now :)

Love mine

I am enjoying mine that I have had since April 24th. I knew what to expect and what not to. Being my first smart watch is also helpful as I cannot compare it to any other. No guilt here as I went for the sport model.

I, female, do not find it very stylish. In fact, when I first put it on I did not like it at all. I have a 38mm SS Milanese Loop.

However, whilst still not over the moon with the look, I do love the functions of the Watch. I have no regrets about buying it. Just wish it was smaller...I am very slender and it looks BIG on my wrist

Absolutely no regrets here - it does exactly what I expected and hoped it would do. Like GrumpyMom, it saves me from digging my phone out to check it as often as I used to. I have a teenager who drives, and an elderly dad who's just out of the hospital, so I never want to miss a notification. The watch allows me to always receive notifications, but only dig out my phone for the ones that warrant action. I never expected to use the Watch to read email or read Facebook. I love it.

I couldn't be much more pleased. It is more comfortable than I had anticipated, it meets or exceeds all the expectations I had for it, and chances are it will potentially even get better when OS and App optimization start happening.

Add me to the guilt free group

I love my 42mm Sport Space Grey. I'm trying to hold myself back from going to the Apple store and try on other bands. I'm quite pleased with the black sport band for daily use but looking to get the leather loop for when I go out.

Don't see much people talking about the leather loops, only the milanese.

I regret not getting the 42mm (177mm wrist, 61mm width). The 38mm looks perfect in pictures but just a little small in reality. It's not that it's necessarily too small but that I suspect the 42mm is smaller in reality than it looks in pictures.

So, I'm gonna put my 38mm on eBay and have already bought a marked up watch off eBay (Thanks scalpers. Seriously, thanks. I'd hate to have to wait till July). It's killing me having mine in the box but I don't wanna use it and risk damaging it before I sell it.

That's pretty cool! Is that the built-in weather app? How did you set it up to do that?

It is called "Dark Sky" . Very cool weather app, it didn't need to be set up, it is a third party app made for the Apple watch.

Love it and love using the fitness features. No more unreliable chest straps to wet first and feel like you are strapping on a dead fish (ewwww). No more unreliable chest strap apps to annoy me. Lots of stats and it separates out the real active calories from my resting calories. Sets goals for me and gives me nifty rewards, too. Keeps track of what I am doing all day long. That's just for starters.

Yes I love it. I am wondering if I got an exceptionally well functioning unit? I have not missed a notification, have not had to reboot it yet, had a May 13-27 delivery date and got it on launch date (YIKES STILL DONT KNOW HOW), taptic has never felt week, not a single scratch on the sport version yet and I abuse it and battery lasts forever. I take it off the charger every day at 6:45am and it lasts until midnight with roughly 35% left.

1st party apps are pretty quick loading including weather. No regrets yet.

Love it. Just waiting for my nylon band from the Monowear kickstarter to get here so I can start running with it.

Absolutely! I love my watch and can't wait to see where it goes with software updates. No regrets, no guilt and it has exceeded my expectations. I have a 38mm sport green, milanese loop will be here on Friday and pink sport band will be here by June 1. I am also excited to see what third party options are available for bands :)

Love it so much I'm tempted to upgrade from the Sport to the SS version once stock normalises. I like the fact i can just glance at notifications without looking at my phone every 10 minutes.

People always act like this is such a little deal, but I honestly feel like the watch notifications are way less disruptive than my phone vibrating. I can pretty much raise my wrist, glance at it, and continue working without losing my train of thought.

I love it and I don't leave home without it. As some others of you have noted, I am not sure what some of the others were expecting from the watch. I was an early adopter as I had the Microsoft SPOT watch around 10 years ago and I loved the glanceability it offered with sports, headlines, weather. It's main drawback for me was that you needed a paid subscription to experience it fully. Apple Watch brings a more robust experience which is great.

Of course I love the battery life which has been so exceptional I never have to worry about leaving it on the charger a long time, I know I will have enough juice to make it through my day.

I love the complications - I just wish 3rd parties could have access.

Call me crazy, but I wish we had the option to receive notifications even when we are actively using our phones. Just because I see a notification appear doesn't mean I'll get to it right away (and to be honest, I have never really used the Notification Center much). I only have a few select apps send notifications to my watch, but I find I'm more apt to pay closer attention them and they aren't intruding on whatever it is I might be doing on my phone at the time (I do real work on my phone).

Anyway, I love my :apple:WATCH. I'm looking forward to the 3rd party apps and keeping my fingers crossed for an orange sports band to be available in the near future.

I had a feeling of guilt before ordering the watch (for being so selfish to want this spendy little gadget for myself), but I overcame that guilt by ordering one for my wife as well

Researched it carefully from the first keynote. Actually, waited patiently for the Apple Watch since I looked into a Basis, Fitbit, Jawbone, among others. Not a chance I'd take this gem back. It's only going to get better from here on out.

I bought it for the Mickey watch face. That in itself made it somewhat worth it for me. From a health perspective, it is worth every penny, especially if it's another step to helping me achieve my health goals.

All the other stuff are nice bonuses, like controlling my music remotely. I use it more frequently than my iPhone now. I tell the watch to play my favorite playlist. Receive phone calls, check weather, and get quick information, like a portable search engine/Wikipedia on my wrist using Siri. No need to take out the phone, unlock it, open the browser, and type in what I want. I just hold down the crown and ask.
