post #77 - you took that out of context by omitting the prior sentence, which points out that the sentence you DID quote is talking about the fact that people with ipad Pros aren’t crowing about 120Hz.

post #5 - says absolutely nothing about whether most people can or cannot see it. Only that some of can, and some of can’t.

So, no, I have no idea why you keep posting personal attacks against me while misrepresenting what I have said.
I haven’t personally attacked you. Quoting you is not a personal attack. Maybe consider a scale back on using terms like “the rest of us” and “nobody” if in fact you mean only yourself.

Alternatively cite your postulate with peer reviewed data. Hope this helps and enjoy today’s event!

Weren‘t you the one who complained that the mods warned you or edited your posts or something? Maybe I’m confusing you with someone else, in which case I retract the statement.

Again, as documented in the post you were responding to, unless you selectively quote part of my statements (which is what you did), I made no quantitative claims about whether most people can or cannot see a difference. “The rest of us” may mean three people or 3 million - it says nothing about quantity. And the “nobody” refers to my testable observation that these forums are devoid of throngs of ipad pro users complaining about how horrible it is when they have to revert to their measly 60Hz iphones. (in the sentence you selectively omitted from your citation, this was clear)

Only terrible reading comprehension could lead to the conclusion that I’ve made any other claims.

Does anyone know if the new display may have a higher hz refresh rate? I went through every iPhone 12 model (mini to the Max) and was unable to use them for a long time due to PWM rate being so low in those models. I would love to buy the 13 mini, currently using an iPhone SE (yes, 2016 model).
It's unlikely the PWM rate will be increased as Samsung are making the displays for the 13 series. Their flagship this year is the S21 Ultra and this has 250Hz PWM rate which continues to be too low for those who are sensitive.

I know you may think I’m insane but I miss 3D Touch, not trying to be a ass but that’s what’s I want back. The iPhone 11pro max screen is no where near as precise as the xs max pro, Which kicked ass. I had a few week period where I had to use a cheap ass Motorola phone and I hated it and it’s screen. Then when I got my iPhone 11 Pro Max, the screen, by which I mean, the touching, placing the cursor and wherever, not the display, sucked just as bad. I played with the twelve pro max and it’s the same. I sincerely hope they do something. I was seriously going to purchase a xs max pro.

Hm, I enjoyed 3D Touch when it existed, but I think they've done a fine job merging its main uses back into a non-3D interface. Tapping and holding space instead of deep-pressing the keyboard is not as nice, but fine. Swipping the bottom bar instead of deep-pressing the left edge is arguably better than the 3D Touch variant. Lastly, those 3D Touch context menus were merged with the regular menus, which is arguably an improvement, since that distinction seemed a little silly and confusing anyway.

In return, we got phones with much longer battery life.

It feels like they never really figured out what 3D Touch was for. There was a nice tech demo where you could see how deep you're pressing, which is cute, but… why?

Are you sure it isn't the exact same display panel, just not with a 3D Touch layer underneath?

The 12 Pro max screen blows both away. I can notice the difference immediately compared to my wife’s 11 PM.

I’ve switched phones twice and tried other peoples phone. For me the screen is not as sharp as it was. Meaning when I touched where I wanted to go, it went. Doesn’t happen on this iPhone with any regularity. Maybe my verbage isn’t correct. This had been bothering me for awhile
