M1 Air order delays?

November 30th – December 4th.
Now my unit is in transit with an ETA of Monday, December 14th.
I'm in the exact same position as you (8/8/512GB MBA ordered on 11/20, est delivery 12/8-15). Mine also just went to preparing to ship this morning:
I’m hoping it will show up around Tuesday! Located in North TX so it’s got a long trip ahead. Now I’m getting antsy 😊
Still waiting for shipment, delivery window ends tomorrow so will definitely miss... anybody else here with a 1TB (or frankly any other custom) had better luck this week?
Just changed to "Preparing to Ship". If it helps, I live in NJ and ordered this on the 11-18 9AM EST.
I ordered the M1Air/16GB/1TB on Nov 19th. Arrives Dec 7-14.

This is good news, because somebody with an identical build on Reddit just had their window bumped back a whole month and I was starting to despair. Which begs the question... what the ****, Apple?

The other report I just referred to checked theirs again after I let them know about yours and theirs also has now moved into preparing to ship, just very shortly after having the window bumped back a month.

Another shipping notification. I ordered my 8/16/256 on 12/1/20 and an original delivery date of 12/24/20. Mine says preparing to ship and delivers by 12/18/20.

Thanks for the update.
The current bottleneck definitely seems to be the 1TB SSD. Hopefully that's getting cleared out now. I heard something about Shanghai airport being effectively shut down a couple weeks ago because UPS brought COVID back... Hopefully that's cleared up.

They must've gotten a shipment of new Macs. I got an email last night saying that it was shipped.
It's shipping from China though, with a delivery estimate of 12/16 from the UPS site.
Timeline of order:
11/16 ordered an M1 8 core GPU 16GB/1TB with a delivery estimate of 12/2-12/9.
12/9 delivery window changed from 12/2-/12-9 to 1/6-1/13
12/11 marked as shipped from China and has a delivery date of 12/16

Ordered a Macbook Air (16G/1TB/Space Gray) on 11/12. The initial delivery estimate was Dec. 7-10. I just checked the order and now it's Jan. 7-14. No emails from Apple about the delay. I'm kicking myself because the day I placed the order, the Naperville store had them in stock. I was working quite a distance and decided to wait to prep my trade-in.
Maybe it is a lack of elves problem putting the machine together.
