example. screenshot of the reddit guys video and a photo i just took of my OLED TV (with iPhone 12 Pro Max). i was going to highlight it but it's clear as day. the mini led is glowing up pixels that are meant to be dark. the OLED is only lighting up the bottle itself.

That is certainly not seen in-person.

I'm sure you know more than supply chain analysts that do this for a living. 😄

When Kuo says iPad Air using OLED is close to current LCD cost, I'm sure he's wrong and you're right. 😄

Kuo is always speculating I take any of his BS rumor with a huge grain of salt. What does it matter if OLED screen was used for iPad Air you assumed it’s cheaper to make oled because of iPad Air?

The article was talking about price difference between QD miniled vs oled. iPad model does not have QD. It even points out because miniLed are quite new yield won’t be as good compared to Oled. This supply chain does not even talk about the smaller sizes its just comparing tv size screen. You know for a fact lots of cheap Chinese tv uses miniLed because it’s way cheaper than trying to buy oled from LG. Yeah keep shilling about miniLed like you‘re selling them from back of your van. It’s still a stop gap technology until microled becomes way cheaper.

So he receives his ipp early. And here I am, my order status actually went one step back.. in fact, I can’t even see my order status anymore since today. Typically my life..
It disappeared on me the whole day of Saturday. Was back this morning. They sometimes do maintenance that has to do with the order/status page.

All available evidence shows mini LED costs more than OLED. You can keep pretending it's not true.

I can already cry my eyes out on an 11’ iPad from 2020. Going beyond web browsing, editing 4K vids in LumaFusion is crazy fast. Where was the bottleneck on the non-M1 iPads, and was there one, ever?

I understand what they are doing, but it’s still frustrating for those of us that don’t want BIGGER. Apple alienates their customer base when they do this. They should hold off on the implementation until they can do it for both PRO devices.
If they do that, everyone loses. You won’t get an 11” iPad with mini LED any sooner, but those who want a 12.9” one are denied that too. There have actually also been times when the smaller iPad Pro got something first.

Mini led is trash, can‘t be compared to oled.
Both have its Pros and Cons. MiniLed is great for daytime use but when you watch in complete darkness it’s trash. Here is miniLed TV QN90A vs Oled C1 comparison. You can see grey color in dark scene can barely match oled not even close.

miniLEDs itself can vary. Some are much more densely packed that others.
Most miniLED ive heard of features just 20000 to 30000 on very large TVs.

Compared to 10000 pressed into just 12.9 inch, this is a huge factor.

“Lucky customer”? Oh, thats the new definition for a customer who overpays for things. Interesting; I live and learn every day.

New video just uploaded showing it is compatible with current magic keyboard.

In that video he says it’s a Magic Keyboard he “just went out and bought”….aren’t all of the now currently available Magic Keyboards the updated 2021 versions anyway (at least they are on the Apple store)? So this would mean he’s testing a brand new 2021 Magic Keyboard with a 2021 iPad Pro no? :-/

Costing more doesn't make something better. Still the mini LED is lighting up an LCD screen so you will get the usual downsides of an LCD screen that OLED has no issues with.

So Apple is silly enough to put a display more expensive than OLED into their top of the line iPad Pro. But it performs worse than OLED? Is that the logic here?

Countdown begins for the postings, from a dark closet at full brightness complaining about light bleed on MiniLed :). Damaged or irritated eyes, from staring at the display at full brightness from nose distance. Returning multiple times for imperfections, real or imagined. Im not buying this trash until MicroLed comes out, you're all Isheep for buying. Oh and Apple sucks because they don't... fill in the blank. I'll gloss over them because I like cheap entertainment.

Nailed it!

2021 magic keyboard is not available yet, so whatever he bought today must be the current version.

Ah do you have a cost sheet as to what Apple paid for their mini LED screens? And for the record an OLED screen does perform better than any LCD.

I'll defer to supply chain analysts, every one of which says mini LED costs more than OLED.
