M1 is already overkill, M2 even more so. iPadOS is holding the processors back. I really believe that iPads should have a macOS Pro mode... the ability to run macOS or a similar window manager, with pro apps like Final Cut, Xcode, Visual Studio, Serato etc....it doesn't need to be exactly macOS, but something very similar with a touch UI if the user needs it, and very smooth window management, and binary compatibility with the Pro macOS Apps. iPadOS on the M1/M2 is like having a Ferarri, but it's stuck in a Garage or in bumper to bumper traffic.Let's dial it back for a second: what value would an M3 bring to the iPad?
What do you do on a damn tablet to require more power than an M1 or A12X/Z?
Apple needs to unleash the M1/M2 beast inside.
