No kidding, I thought folks holding the old 9.7 models up for photos was bad 😂Who in the hell is recording video with their iPad?

Where can I get an “iPad Pro” sticker to put on my 2021 iPP😆” IPad Pro now printed in the back”. This is exactly what I wanted!! Pulling the trigger on this one 😂😂
saving the real upgrades for the 14" next yearSurprised that Apple didn't have more in this update. Would explain the lack of an event.
Maybe if it was some crappy, inefficient android.Criminal in 2022 for the top-end model to ever ship with 8GB RAM.
Does anyone know if the new iPad pros work with the 2018 Magic Keyboard still?
It's a spec bump to keep the Pros current, just like the 2019 "upgrade" that added a LiDAR camera and extra GPU core. This is a pretty confounding update. It would have still been boring if the regular iPad hadn’t gotten the landscape camera, but now this generation of Pros looks like a must-skip.
If the M3 is 3nm it will have improved battery life.Let's dial it back for a second: what value would an M3 bring to the iPad?
What do you do on a damn tablet to require more power than an M1 or A12X/Z?
Apple smart enough to not spend 10 cents on video production for this release and have nothing much to say in front of camera anyway.Hence it was a "press release" introduction. It's similar to the 2019 "update" to the iPad Pro that just added the LiDAR camera and extra GPU core. Perhaps Apple has bigger plans in store for the M3 iPad. That should be a bigger CPU/GPU upgrade from the M2 than the latter was to the M1.
M3 will be 3nm fabrication = better battery life.Let's dial it back for a second: what value would an M3 bring to the iPad?

Different, but the same.Same same but different!
You don't have to use it like a clown, but I suppose you can if you like.Fellas, is it possible to use Touch ID with the new iPad Pros, or do I have to use Face ID like a clown?
Touch-ID probably doesn't work with your clown gloves; try using Face-ID like a normal person.Fellas, is it possible to use Touch ID with the new iPad Pros, or do I have to use Face ID like a clown?
I mean Macs with hardware support for any kind of pens (preferably Wacom, but even Apple's own Pencils could do...)macOS has had pen support since 10.2 Jaguar.
Yeah, basically any mac or pc is going to be a better experience and yield a better result than trying to edit on an ipad. Why would anyone struggle with an iPad for video editing when you can do the same MUCH more efficiently, with MUCH better software, with MUCH better file etc. support, with MUCH better external screen support on a Mac, for around the same price if you also add Apple's keyboard and - to have 16GB of RAM - go for at least the 1TB model?! And the Mac is significantly less locked down.
I don’t think so. We’ve had an iPad Pro every year sinceAren't they on a 1.5 to 2-year cycle with the Pros already?
Sweet. Thank youYes. The M2 11" is the 4th Gen.

Apple seldom has refurbished versions of the current iPad, but now that the M2 is out I expect there will be refurbished M1s.Is there a place on the apple store website to buy the 5th generation Pros at a discount? I'm on a 3rd gen Pro and was waiting on this 6th gen for new screens but they're the same ast 5th gen, so I might as well get that.... but it seems to have been stricken from the record.
If one could record 4K ProRes on a 128GB iPhone, they’d get somewhere around 17 minutes. That’s not a very useful use case. BUT, I’m sure that there’s plenty of folks out there ready to go on an all out rant over this feature that they’re not going to use on this device they’re not going to buy.ProRes was disabled on 128GB iPhone models. So it is possible on iPad models? This is f hilarious. 16GB on the most expensive models only? What. A. Ripoff.
We got the redesign to the flat edge in Oct 2018. 1.5 years later they refreshed in Mar 2020 (nothing in 2019). Then a year later they moved to the M chips in April 2021. I suspect that was a quicker refresh because they felt the M chips were going to be a bigger draw.I don’t think so. We’ve had an iPad Pro every year since
Those who use it to record video being captured on a digital camera. Most recent cameras can send raw sensor data via their HDMI port. A HDMI to Thunderbolt cable would result in a very nice video capture system. Better than what the cameras can do themselves.Who in the hell is recording video with their iPad?

2018 - Bigger upgrade
2020 - Smaller upgrade
2021 - Bigger upgrade
2022 - Smaller upgrade
The next upgrade will be more significant
