Tiger will be able to support both 32- and 64-bit hardware and software. iWork doesn't (yet) replace all the features of AppleWorks, so it makes sense to keep it around for a while.fox2005 said:Anyone knows if Tiger will play on this Mac minis?
It is supposed to be 64 and Steve told so this in his speech. So, will it run on G4's? Mabe thats why the mini is bundled with appleworks instead of iWork.

1.25 ghz
40 gig HD
256 RAM
256 video RAM.
I just got a Dell ad in my USA Today this morning. For $399 you get:
2.8 ghz
80 gig HD
512 RAM
512 video RAM.
This is a sincere question, not a troll. What am I missing?

Is there a solution for this?

jayscheuerle said:Would be if it was a P4, but it's only a Celeron. I've heard the G4 matches up to the Celeron at about 2:1.
Mav451 said:If its a Celeron-D, that's not necessarily the case anymore. The old Celeron, is dare I say, possibly even 2.5:1 (for Celeron :: G4) clock speeds, the Celeron is THAT bad.

This link is especially helpful...you see the old Celeron 2.6Ghz getting 39.7FPS in Sim City 4, while the newer Celeron-D @ 2.66Ghz gets 62.6FPS
