And based on a comment in another thread IIRC, the NZ minis are shipping with (as an option IIRC) the DL Superdrive.

So what time does the Apple Store site go down if there are to be updates?
 
The lack of ANY kind of rumours regarding updates is a bit worrying for anyone waiting for them to arrive.

You could be right. I'm going from memory and I think they usually go down at about 10:00PM here and it's 9:20PM already. I'm pretty sure the US store is the last to go down too.

By the way, I doubt they'll get updated today. :(

But I hope I'm wrong.
 
Yeh you're right I doubt we'll see anything today.

....the store usually goes offline about 1.30 om UK time.

Makes sense but why the long waiting times if you dont think we will see anything today???

US and Aus up...oh, as an aside, Myers Megamart Auburn Sydney had older model iMacs and eMacs for $500 less than sticker yesterday...wonder if older Minis will drop 20-30% when the new ones come out

It is still up at 1.20 ... Ready to Ship 1 - 2 Weeks.

I'll accept either better specced Mac Minis (bluetooth built-in, 512MB as standard, better graphics) or a decent price drop.
 
The buyers guide doesn't make much sense anymore... certainly not if you're looking to buy.
 
Hold on shouldnt the UK store be going down at 2.30PM as that is the eqivelant to 9.30AM east coast time???? and thats the time updates normally come??

Its normally about 10:30 EST - NOW - So I dont hold much hope its going to happen tonight...

I disagree. A few updates ago the iBook was updated to the same G4 as the 12" PowerBook. Everyone at that time was saying how stupid Apple was for doing that because where's the incentive to pay the extra money for a PowerBook? Well, Apple still did it and I don't think it really hurt their sales.

So Apple could very well update the iBook again soon and close the gap a little more with the PowerBooks until they get another speed bump, which I believe they will before they get outfitted with new Intels.

As for the Mac Mini, I'm waiting for the update as well. I was hoping the update would come last Monday or Tuesday, but obviously it didn't happen. :( Now I think it will either just come randomly or it will come at Paris in September, though I hope Steve doesn't force me to wait that long to give him my money! :D

that was a 14" ibook and allot of people dont like them as the screen is too big with a low resolution the 1.33GHz powerbooks were only the same as the 14" ibook in terms of clock speed.

personally i forsee the same clock speeds just 512MB ram larger HD BTO options and a 5200 or 9600 graphics card.

Yeah, looks like it isn't today. Maybe next Tuesday or later this week when a couple of offers end.

I just hope they don't wait another month or two before updating the systems.

Here's hopin' but I have been emailed an eCoupon for £18 which expires tomorrow, I doubt updates would happen this week (nothing would surprise me though).

This is confusing why not update???? why arent they updating and not selling any at the moment...

unless one is announced this week I am buying one on friday.. a 1.25 with 512mb. my local dealer will do the upgrade on the spot.

or should I wait till next tuesday?
 
btw. all the mac dealers here in Vancouver Canada have lots of in store stock with mini's so does this seem even more odd that there are shipping delays? is this another sign of a coming update?
