Are we waiting on iCloud before "Find my Mac" works? I don't know where to look for it in 10.7.0.

I'm curious as to what UI problems people are having with the Intel HD3000. I'm running that in my 13" MBP and have no trouble at all

Well, I am a paid developer. I will try again.

Update: The link now works for me. I was logged in with a different account than the one I am using on the dev center and that is why it didn't work.

Hey there, I'm curious, as there's been mentions about Documents added to the new beta - how does it work?

Works only for iWork documents and how is it synced?

I haven't tried that yet but I am sure iWork will need to get updated...The same goes for iPhoto and the new photo stream feature of iCloud.

Every app is capable of storing a copy of its files in the cloud, then apple pushes it to all devices that have the app. That's all. Simple yet powerful. It's actually exactly like dropbox, except with an API for devs and 5GB for free, instead of 2 from dropbox. All I know is I'm switching to iCloud as my main method of cloud storage once it's out, with dropbox as backup.

still can't find this link inside my dev account.... where is it located inside the member center?

My bad - the bug with the keyboard illumination for MBP is fixed.

Did many test (with benchmarks etc)... no UI improvements are made. Still slow with Intel 3000HD

There is nothing wrong with HD3000 performance, its your Mac.

I'm still holding out hope I will be able to access iCloud (and keep using my ,mac email address) with Snow Leopard, as I don't think I'll be upgrading to Lion.

I think your going to be let down. iCloud is going to be one of the big things Apple can use to push to Lion and iOS 5, much like AirPlay and iOS 4. :p Just upgrade dude, its easy and worth it! :D

Find My Mac. HOW?!?

With FileVault2 enabled the system is booted and the disk is decrypted AFTER authentication. Also the Guest account cannot be enabled together with FileVault2 (it would probably pose a security risk).

How the hell am I supposed to retrieve a stolen Laptop if software that is supposed to track the Mac cannot start since the thief cannot log into the machine with a Guest account anymore?

I updated to 10.7.2 11C26

- None of my bugs I encountered, are fixed.
- UI performance is still the same with Intel 3000HD (read: bad)
- Crashed two times when opening a app (Pixelmator and Cyberduck). Never happened with 10.7.0

A bit disappointed.

Sounds like it's only iCloud stuff that's been incorporated in 10.7.2. Most likely there's a "general bug" team working on 10.7.1. Sometime next fall they'll merge the two together.

I don't think most should expect fixes especially as the accompanying copy reads as , "This pre-release version of OS X Lion is being provided solely for testing iCloud"

I just installed this but all I see is MobileMe and not iCloud. What am I doing wrong? Thx

Battery

Has anyone noticed that your battery drains amazingly fast now? I got Lion last week on release day (dumb I know) now my MBP just drains the battery like a starving vampire. Maybe it's me but my battery dropped 10% in 10 minutes. BTW I am only running Safari.

Are you making a general complaint or asking if 10.7.2 fixes any battery issues?

The latest Safari has SO MANY issues and bugs... Its a complete mess. Reader is the main reason. Every time I try to use it Safari starts to bug...

Why did they release a version of safari which is clearly not ready???

One quick question: will iCloud only be supported on Lion??

iCloud will be supported in Lion and iOS5.

hm i tried that above link and can't find the iCloud download. is being a beta tester for that separate from being a 10.7 beta tester? thanks

*oh and do you need a mobileMe account to test out iCloud? thanks

i had to hunt the ADC site to find it so keep trying... my iCloud will not activate; connected but not working.

Yes - you're preaching to the choir. I was replying to someone who was complaining about their 10.7.1 bugs not being fixed.
