Hopefully the fix the issue when copying files (drag and drop) from a USB stick. As of now, they appear to copy, than *vanish*

Try it yourself it you don't believe me. Huge bug, IMO.

Well thats very disappointing of Apple. They have been letting me down lately...

10.6.8 has bugs for me...
Safari 5.1 is a mess...
iCloud only in Lion...
I hate versions and the new preview...

what is there to hate about versions??

I've noticed one bug fix so far. If you had a wallpaper bigger than your display's resolution, choosing to "tile" it made the desktop freak out. As of 10.7.2, the "tile" option is greyed out for pictures that are too large.

I'm looking for other small changes, but I don't see much...

I am a heavy documents user. I know exactly what changes I make and other stuff. I dont like the idea that every minor change I make to a document is duplicated in the background and taking space of my small 256GB SSD. If I had a 1 TB SSD then it wouldnt matter too much, but I only have 256GB of which 60GB are free.

I dont need versions, but Ill admit is a cool feature for others. The main problem is that it cant be turned off. Why wont they let users choose if they want this feature or not, like Resume?

Also, I have the feeling that Ill start to mess things up with my documents if versions if enabled. Imagine having 500 previous documents of one document in versions. Its a mess!!! I would screw something sooner or later...

Is it possible to delete manually the background files? This way maybe I could only have 10 previous versions instead of 500... Anyone knows how?

So......you don't like it because you THINK it's going to cause you problems but it hasn't actually done so. Solid logic there, keep it up.

You can lock the files that you don't want to be backed up with Versions.

Still dont have 10.7 at all....

I hear this news and get even more frustrated with Apple that it is 4 days later and I still don't have Lion. Why? I am supposed to get Lion for free, due to purchasing my iMac after 6/6, but they can't recognize my serial number.

Anyone else still dealing with this?

I updated to 10.7.2 11C26

- None of my bugs I encountered, are fixed.
- UI performance is still the same with Intel 3000HD (read: bad)
- Crashed two times when opening a app (Pixelmator and Cyberduck). Never happened with 10.7.0

A bit disappointed.

It's only July, and they'll get to your issues. There are some things they obviously fixed. Can you enlighten us on those?

Hmm… they don't have a 10.7.2 update for those who installed the server version, or at least I couldn't find it. I try to install the update, but it says that it wouldn't work with my version of lion. I'm running the GM.

I hope they fix the SAMBA/CIFS issues, I have 2 NAS drives that I can't connect to now without doing stupid workarounds. This bug alone would have prevented me upgrading to LION if I had known about it.

Also, I can't submit comments in the appstore even though I purchased LION, Says I never purcashed it....Go Figure!

Don't know why people are saying that no bugs were fixed. There were a number of substantial ones that were fixed.

Memory leak in Safari
Chapters in QuickLook for quicktime movies

If you look in System/Library/CoreServices, you'll see lots of newly modified apps, as well as in /Applications.

That's simply unacceptable IMO. I would return the computer and exchange for a new one that will have Lion preinstalled.

Hy guys,

Im using the lion that came through the app store !.... I have iCloud beta 4 installed !

there really a lot of fixed bugs on that 10.7.2 ? what is new on iCloud beta 5 ?? I heard that a new thing was documents on the iCloud section ! but can you really use it, and how it works ??

Because Im not sure if I really want to update this two !... and sure ! right now I have a couple of crashes and bugs with this version of lion ! but i don't know !

What you think ? should i really update it to the 10.7.2 ?

Installed it on my mid 2010 Macbook Pro. It's running a little bit cooler now and the fans aren't as loud. That was pretty much my only issue with Lion and it appears to be fixed now.

Here's to iCloud

I like how the settings for email and other cloud-type accounts are unified under system preferences and the granular support provided for iCloud services.
Also, Apple did a similar advanced point release for testing when the Mac App Store was announced for Snow Leopard.

Yes, very disappointing of Apple to not be able to make EVERY single person happy.

Thank god I decided NOT to upgrade, I need Pixelmator.

is there a way where you could change the name of the spaces you have on mission control ? for example i have four spaces and the all say.. desktop 1, desktop 2...... it would be cool if you could change those name....

so can you actually do it ?

I'm curious as to what UI problems people are having with the Intel HD3000. I'm running that in my 13" MBP and have no trouble at all

Don't believe what you read on the Internet. Most bugs are caused by hosed systems. People never think things out. They forget about third party plugins, extensions, framework modifications. The knee-jerk reaction is to point the finger at Apple immediately. If they figure it out later they will rarely admit they were wrong. Too embarassing.
