What didn't Apple previously get right about daylight savings time?
Isn't DST changing in 2007? Maybe they forgot about that...

Seems to have installed fine on my iBook except that she wouldn't accept my password on the first boot up. I restarted again and it now works properly.

Yes. DST is in fact changing. They probably forgot to slip that in the last update as you have said...

That's what I was hoping it does... but I'd think Apple would say that in the description, given the amount of concern people are expressing.

I found the details. Apple says
Updated the rules for time zones and Daylight Savings Time to conform to changes in the law for the United States, Australia, and other locations, for 2006 and later.
This is for the change, in the U.S., that results from the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which changes the start of Daylight Saving Time from the first Sunday of April to the second Sunday of March and the end of Daylight Saving Time from the last Sunday of October to the first Sunday of November, starting in 2007.

Login Screen of Death

I installed 10.4.5 and when the computer rebooted, I was taken to a login screen where I was asked for my password. I did not have this setting turned on before. I enetered every concievable password I have ever used and it wouldn't let me in. After restarting it a second time, it took me right to my desktop. Everything seems normal now. I submitted this to Apple.

Is there any updates to the CoreImage RAW processor for OS X? Wonder if it has support or my camera yet!

I think the problem is with Intel iMacs, not Power PC ones updated with this release.
The update didn't break my Front Row hack on my iMac G5!

(Never mind, my update says Power PC but I guess there is an Intel update too...)

Nice update, it fixed my QuickTime problem. Previously I had to run the PPC version through Rosetta to be able to watch any streams.

For the year 2006 only, the start of Daylight Saving Time in Australia will be April 2 instead of March 26 in some states.
