Double Click feature on powerbook?

Are they not planning on adding the double click feature to the powerbook line? I'll be mad if they don't.

Odd.

64.9MB on my 2.0 GHz rev.a 15" MacBook Pro, 39.8MB on my 1.25 GHz 2004 eMac and 867 MHz rev.a 12" PowerBook G4. All have 10.4.6 already.

Going to run the updates and report back.

edit: Oh, and I already have the 'two-finger click' hack on my MacBook Pro, so I won't be able to confirm if this update adds it officially or not.

Well, the SMC Firmware update does nothing noticible to the fans on my 17" one way or the other. I wasn't having heat or moo or noise problems before, and there doesn't seem to be anything different now--processor temps are about the same (mid 50s at idle, low 80s at full load on both cores), and there's still no noticible noise.

No harm done, though.

Now here's waiting for an OS update that will properly clock the Core Duo down to 1GHz when it's not doing much--THAT would be a nice feature for battery life, though I don't expect to see it until at least 10.5 (.4.7 did nothing to this)

Update downloaded, see you on the other side...

Update done, very quick restart actually, not 4 minutes like some mentioned.

Those were pointed out to me already, thank you.

installed here! wish I could get me that right click feature on my iBook!

The Widget memory bug is still there, at least on PPC. After a system update like this, widget memory balloons to about 2x - 3x normal size. Seems to be related to optimization process (prebinding) but I'm not sure about that.

In any event, restarting, or logging out/in, or killing the dock and relaunching dashboard cures the problem and widget memory returns to their usual size for good until the next time the system is updated (usually, an update to the OS such as this or running prebinding manually).

Holy crap see what happens when you question the gods, the thread is eating itself.

I just posted that , but while I was typing and posting you already typed it and posted it. It must be some sort of dual reality caused by some kinda permissions issue.

It took you 13 minutes to post it?

You need to type faster if you're going to keep with the forums on the day of a new release!! :D

Done.

iSync 2.3 is there and more importantly the new Safari lets you into hotmail and I think it supports SVG files now - they used to be a bit flakey.

But how do you get into an AIM chat room? I clicked on the links on this page but just get that "thunk" error noise when iChat opens.

Throwing this meat out might stop the Mac Panthers being hungry for Leopard for at least an evening.

But yeah, no complaints

Because of a misguided belief that 10.4.9 must come out and must be the last update.

Updates could end here at 10.4.7 or continue to 10.4.36. There is no reason they must end at 10.4.9.

They could. But they never have...
