just got this from apple

this was at the end of the email

Still on "Preparing Shipment." I thought maybe it was my location, but a friend of mine who ordered this weekend has already had his ship to the same location. So I have no clue what's going on. Maybe they are just slow on notifying people.

Likewise.

Mine's shipped but none of my various numbers bring up anything with TNT.

Mine's also been shipped but I get 'not found' when trying to track via the TNT website. Perhaps it will be on there tomorrow,

Just got the data...picked up at 9:24AM by FedEx and scheduled for delivery prior to 4:30 on 4/29 (Friday.) It all depends on whether it makes the connections to get here next day. It will have to be in LV by 5:00AM tomorrow morning to get on a truck for delivery, otherwise it will be Friday.

Just did a quick check of your site...very nicely done. I see you are using Gallery 1.4 for your images. I used that then downloaded 2.0 which I am using for my domain site. Connections are in my signature.

Looking for the iMac prices and ready to jump on a 20" for my desktop.
 
I called the Apple.com Store rep, just to bug them, and the lady said, what Preparing Shipment means, is that, it gets sent to the FedEx station, and once it is in transit, then the status of it changes to Shipped, but in the case of Tiger, what they are going to do is, keep it at the FedEx station, so they deliver it on Friday.

So the fact that mine still says "Preparing Shipment" don't mean I am totally screwed (yet)?

I think we'll be fine, (aka we will get it by friday), but from the sound of the lady, she didn't sound like she knew about TIGER, she knew Tiger, but she didn't really know about TIGER.
 
getting nervous

Man I'm really getting nervous, I ordered Tiger on April 13 and my order still says
preparing shipment (2 Educational copies).

the only thing keeping me from getting to nervous is that it says right on their site that
we will get it delivered on the 29th (read the first 2 questions on the page below)

also the fact that most of us the purchased it early did so because of the site advertisements that we would get delivery on the 29th.

It would be a really bad move on Apple's part I think, to not make sure they ship Tiger in time to be delivered on the 29th. They would have a lot of hassle and lose some money on returns and such, not to mention the bad PR/publicity. (The money loss & hassle I'm referring to would be from people like me that would just go to the store and buy a copy on the 29th and refuse shipment of the late copies when they finally came and get a refund.)

Anyhow I think they'll make it happen (hmmm I hope)
congrats to those who have tiger in their paws already, or that atleast have a tracking number that they can obsessivly check every 20 minutes :)

sorry for the ramberling I'm just really excited and WANT IT NOW ... ok I'm simmering down now and going to go cower in my corner for a while....

Dude, I feel your pain. I ordered a day earlier than you and my status is still "Preparing Shipment". The one thing giving me hope is that this morning the money was taking out of my bank (says my online Bank Of America account)... so that's a good thing, right? RIGHT? :(

I have spent all day getting my mac application (Matinee) ready to run on peoples Tiger powered Macs... I just wonder if I will have a final copy of Tiger to test it out on for myself.

I was having the same problems, so I used a different browser (Internet Explorer) and it worked. Only until I got the reference number instead of the consignment number that Apple gave to Track, was I able to use Safari. Also, since I'm not living in the UK I tracked it going international. :D :D It's now on a plane to Ireland! :D
 
Whoa, dude we said that at the same time.

Edit: Ok, so here is the crack down: it says it left Ontario, CA at like 10:00am, and it says estimated delivery by: 4:30 pm Friday. But from my past experiences with Apple.com purchases coming out from Ontario, I will get it tomorrow!

Mine too.
Last time I ordered software from Apple UK, it only showed up on TNT tracking a couple of hours after delivery. Delivery was the day after shipping. I know of others who have had to wait a day longer than me in the past. I think it depends on how close you are to a major TNT depot. Fingers crossed for Thursday morning.
 
Any other people in Eurupe that have received a shipping notification, other than the UK peeps. Even though sometimes they dont consider themselves part of "europe"...hehehe :D :D
 
Heinous Situation

Mine is "Still Pending" - If I don't get this on Friday, I will probably get mad, then drunk, forget about it and then get mad again on Monday when it is delivered. :mad:
 
Shipped!

Ordered April 12th --> Notified by Apple of shipping at 16:30 PDT today.

I've been reloading FedEx with the tracking number for the past hour or so and it's just turned up – in Ontario. Seems that normally FedEx takes a whole day to move parcels onto a plane to Honolulu, but now I can watch!

Something to keep those of you how are still "processing" happy, FedEx say it was with them at 09:22, so Apple is being a bit SLOOOOOWWWW to update.

I hope it does get here on Friday, cos I'm going to Maui monday :cool:
 
They did a test charge of my card about ten minutes ago, which means they'll be taking the money soon, which means it'll probably ship tonight! Yippee!

I hope that is the case for you. They test charged the day I ordered (12th) and took the money out for good this morning... yet my status is still "Preparing Shipment".
 
Mine still says "Preparing shipment". Friday is two days away and the shipping method is listed as "2 day". If my math is correct the Tiger should be shiped today in order for it to arrive here on Friday :confused: :mad: :(

Mac,

I feel for ya. Same with me, and I ordered within 2 hours of it being available. I'm going mad here. I want Tiger! :)
