Just spoke to a lady at apple (was helpful). She said my order had "magically" been given a tracking number this morning - complete crap as its had the same tag for weeks now. Anyway I told her to cancel and they probably won't. She said it won't arrive till next Tues (Mon is bank holiday). I want to order from Amazon as it's cheaper. Useless.

Tiger shipped!

Just checked my email. Apple sent conf. mail that Tiger has shipped.

Went to Fedex and tracked as in route, to be delivered on the 29th!

Dear Apple Customer,

"Apple is pleased to report that a shipment for the following order
is on its way to you.The following products shipped on 04/27/2005."

yeah!

I.

My order is already on Swiss soil!

My copy of Tiger has just cleared customs in Basel. It's only 100 km away from my home! It looks like I'm getting it tomorrow! I can't wait :D

I still can't track my delivery. But thanks to everyone who has tried to help...

I put in my tracking number from the Apple website. This number is in the format 8410xxxxxxx. I've tried using this number as both the consignment number and the reference number on the TNT website and both times it says it cannot be found. I've tried both the tnt.com and tnt.co.uk websites.

Someone suggested that it may be the browser that I'm using - but I've now tried IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera so I don't think it is the browser.

I guess I just need to wait.

Mark.

Mine's in the same TNT truck (28 avr. 2005 10:30 Basel Released From Customs) and I just talked to the driver over his VHF and he said he might just be tempted to go straight to Geneva for that nice lunch I offered him :D

You should recheck the Apple Order status page, there should be a second ref nbr (tracking number) beginning with format 100xxxxx or so. I also recvd an 802xxx reference format from Apple which could not be traced.

Just drop off the 2 last digits to make it a 9 digit number.

It worked for me.....

Don't make me board the next intercity train to Geneva!
:D

I've finally found out why my tracking number isn't found on the TNT website. The tracking number Apple has given me is 11 digits, however, Apple has just told me I should only use the first 9 digits of the number and put this into the consignment field on the tracking webpage..

It seems a bit weird why they would have an 11 digit tracking number when you should only use 9 digits but anyway...

I've just checked TNT and my package is in Nuneaton.

Hope this helps if you also can't find your package on the TNT website.

Mine STILL shows preparing shipment. This SUCKS! Any chance Apple would overnight it to me so that I have it for tomorrow?

I may just go to my local CompUSA and buy a copy tomorrow night and then refuse my Apple shipment Monday.

My friday night....

I'll still be drinking! But it'll be with a laptop and an installation DVD!
Yep, I got my shipping confirmation, and I'm in Sydney between the airport and the CBD....

Have fun!

Hey guys look what I have found in my e-mail from Apple.

For orders shipped Monday through Thursday tracking information will
be available on the carrier sites 12 to 24 hours after shipping.
For orders shipped Friday through Sunday tracking information will be
available on the carrier sites by the following Monday evening.

So I guess be paitient.

Thanks for that..But now will this also reflect on the apple Store. So say that Tiger is shipped will it only show up as shipped 12 hours later on the Apple store or will it be immediate..ie. as soon as tiger is released from the carrier site does it gets updated on the Apple site??

Mine to. I just called Apple and all they would say is that it should be delivered the 29th. Needless to say I'm not overwhelmingly confident that it will get here on time.
