Hey you guys this is kinda off topic, but not really, but at the CompUSA Tiger World Premiere; do you think they will give out the same memoribilia (ie dogtags for panther) as the Apple retail stores?

Not sure about dogtags or t-shirts but compusa will be giving away a 1Gig Ipod Shuffle at all compusa stores between 6-10PM

I hear ya. I'm out here in Vancouver Canada and still with a "Preparing Shipment" notice. It would be nice to get a tracking number, just to know it is not in the wearhouse and it is in FedEx's hands. :)

Not to rub it in, but just for discussions sake, I ordered Tiger this Wednesday the 27 from Apple.ca and it shipped on Wednesday the 27, also to Vancouver, Canada.

The crappy thing, though, is that they used "Same Day Right Away" which as some Canadians might know, doesn't quite live up to its name. Also, they don't provide tracking info until you've already had the package for a few years.

Same Day, I admit is not the best I've seen but they are quite quick for myself. Although it takes a extra day for the tracking number to actually work after Apple ships it. ;) Oh well, hopefully I get it Friday.

No notification that it shipped, however I went to the Apple Status page today and it said that it shipped today from Pensylvannia via FedEx. I get home tonight and there's a FedEx sticker on my door and a package waiting in the apartment office. I wonder what it is! :)

Damnit! It was a new beta release for a game I'm beta testing for! What a tease!

mine's shipped. for all you uk customers (including me), tnt has officially confirmed that all orders with a current tnt status of Allocated For Delivery / In Transit will be guaranteed to recieve it tomorrow. Yay! It will almost definatlely arrive around lunchtime (they always do)

I just realized that, after I play around Tiger, and get used to all the new features, I am going into a state of semi-depression, I have nothing else to look forward to (as much as tiger). :(

I just called SameDay, and they said it usually takes 5-10 days for things from Apple to get to them and then get shipped out, so what's up with that?

I told the lady Apple said it would get here by Friday, but she almost laughed at me. Apparently it comes from the states, goes to Ontario, then comes out here to Vancouver. I should check their tracking number page "at the end of next week" according to her.

Ahhhhhh well, going to see U2 tomorrow, it will be an awesome enough day already...

I agree. I think it will be a let-down, when we're up and running. However, it is something we'll enjoy for a long time, but we won't appreciate it as much as we will today.

Just go back to using Panther or Jaguar for a few hours. I work on an XP box at work.. so Tiger I will always look forward to going home to Tiger.

Mine says "Prepairing shpment" Andit's been this way for 4 stright days !? it shows that delivery on or before 4/28 ! but nothing has changed !?

My friend is seeing U2 tomorrow. Hopefully Apple gets to me, I got Mail sitting on, checking mail automatically every minute, hoping something will happen.

I ordered Apple FireWire this past week and it shipped 04/23/2005 and it got delivered by Same Day on the 26th. Weird.

Many times the anticipation is the most fun. But I think that Tiger will live up to the hype. Yes, it will bring us months of great joy. It all depends on what your interests are, but there is usually always something that we can look forward. There is dual core, cell, eMac, iMac, & PowerBook
