The update is expected to be in excess of 25GB in size.

Good thing I've got broadband! :p

I'm guessing 250MB is the more likely size...

On the most recent developer build, some noticed that Apple have re-introduced support for PPC, paving the way for some sad people to think that a PowerMac G6 is in the works should Intel fail to keep up to the demands of Apples contract.

PPC support will be good news for all those folks running Leopard via "reverse Rosetta" on their non-Intel machines. :p

I suppose it costs Apple (essentially) nothing to keep a version of 10.6 compatible with the PPC architecture. Apple had OS X in the lab on Intel machines since 10.0.0.

My mistake, PowerBook G6 next Tuesday then :D

Come on Apple, bring out 10.5.2 Today! if you don't........ then, erm, erm, i will, erm, WAIT, OK, how do you feel about that?

I can't wait toooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! They'll make my day (well, night) if 10.5.2 is released today. Otherwise I'll be dreaming about stabbing Steve Jobs and all the people who work for him.

You better bring something to wipe that thing clean, then …

I'd guess that on any given day, if the update isn't out by 12 noon pacific time / 3 pm eastern time, then the update isn't coming on that day.

hi, are you a student at loughborough? i've applied there, and if accepted hope to study there starting this september doing industrial design!

i dont think i get to choose a hall until i get offered a place! a friend says the 'towers' is the best..?

if you're doing industrial design, towers is like 30 mins walk from your department but it's close to the union. i recommend David Collett (i live there) because it's close to the library and the rooms are pretty nice. And it's one of the smallest catered halls, so the atmosphere is friendlier than other halls I guess.

p.s. new rigg rutts / elvyn richards are being constructed for completion by 2009, so you might apply there if you fancy a brand spanking new room

I'm dying for this update for the sake of reliability and performance.

Wish they'd release it already.
