Apple just put up updates for Pages, Keynote and Numbers.

"This update addresses compatibility with Mac OS X."

Hmmmm....

Updates have been released for iWork 08, so if Apple is going to release something today I'd expect it soon.

Interesting to see that the updates for Pages + Numbers say:

"This update addresses compatibility with Mac OS X."

See? What did i say...

(For those who don't know what i'm talking about. Unfortunately the last few posts have been deleted)

.2 update is coming in a bit.

Hmmmm....

Hopefully this will address the major issue I have been having with Pages where that application will become corrupt and will not launch.

I've had to constantly force restart my iMac because Finder has been hanging nearly every 10 minutes and wont respond to relaunches. Same thing happens with apps where they'll just hang randomly and force quit is just completely ineffective. My iMac is completely useless now. If this update doesnt fix these reliability issues, I'll be forced to re-install. I can't take this anymore

I have a question.
Do the updates of iWork and other apps signify that Mac OS 10.5.2 could come out at any minute now?

Just that it's not too late in the day for Apple to release an update, so it could still potentially come. Of course these patches could also be to make iWork play more nicely with 10.5.2 as they are to "improve Mac OSX compatibility".

The fact it says "addresses compatibility with Mac OS X" could lead to a conclusion that they have updated iWork to be compatible with 10.5.2.

I just used this update to check the download resuming, and it does work. Pressing cancel then closing & reopening Software Update, it has to check for updates again but once it's found them it will continue the download from where it left off :)

I haven't tested with one item fully downloaded and another in progress (my internet's shared and is quite slow atm. Seems to be about 35kb/s :() but I'd imagine it will work. (wouldn't want to test it unless there was a very small update to test it on tho)

Well, I guess Mac OS 10.5.2 is either going to be released later today or tomorrow. Isn't Tuesdays or Wednesdays the days Apple usually releases updates like this?

How odd. SU doesn't show them for me.

Do you have the applications in "iWork '08" folder because, if like me, you have moved them out of there SU doesn't show you the updates. You can download them directly from apple here. But again if they aren't in that folder the updater will fail.

Good thinking! I moved the apps out of their iworks folder into the apps folder. :D
