This kind of thing always bugs the heck out of me. Why would you want SL installed? I would *much* rather have Leopard installed and be able to install SL at my convenience once it becomes stable enough to really use. That has been the case with every OS release ever, whether it be Apple, Microsoft, or anybody else.I'm planning on buying a MBP this week or next... but I want Snow Leopard installed. How long do you guys think it will take until new Macs will have SL out of the box?
Unfortunately there are always negatives.Hmm you make a good point. I'm eligible for the £8 upgrade so I could simply clean-install on my new mbp. I was too excited when reading about SL that I didn't look at the negatives![]()
Anyone else running 10A432 got the "Remote Desktop Client update 3.3.1" through software update?
Sounds good. Hold the Option key on startup to select your disk.
before i try i want to know that boot camp assistant is supposed to be missing or just one my install.
it should not be missing
Do you know this as a fact? Do you have 10A432 installed and boot camp assistant is present? Maybe it is left out because it is not the official release yet? I could not find much (actually nothing) about this so far on the web which is kind of irritating as well. something like that i believe would be mentioned somewhere, even if it is not the release candidate yet. normally the web contains everything, you just gotta filter the right information. but nada on this. i think i just try a reinstall. damn i should not have installed all the other software in between. did not take much time really, but still, was a waste when i reinstall it. setting clock back etc.
if it is somehow missing in my install i can install it afterwards. i just need to find the right file then. i prefer that way.
that is the reason i still would like more clarification before i continue. it just saves time.

Yup, got it here, too. It wasn't there when I first installed 10a432, but then it showed up later.

I installed GarageBand from the iLife 09 disc, and Software Update recognized it and found online updates for that, too.
Conclusion: 10a432 fully supports Software Update.
Speculation: 10a432 _is_ the "golden master".
