Mac OS X Tiger Arriving

I HATE THIS! TNT tried to deliver at 11.15 this morning and no one was in! NOOOO! They say they will try and deliver again before 3 (I have to leave then to go to bullring store) but might not! I can't believe this !

OH and anyone in UK you might have possible problems in receiving Tiger as I spoke to TNT on the phone and they said they had a power failure last night so shipments are at least 3 hours behind
 
Well TNT have had my parcel on their van for 4 and a half hours now..how long does it take to drive the 30 miles to where I live!

Would be nice if they could give an AM or PM time frame as well.
 
I phone TNT again and its been at the depot this whole time!

i'm going to collect it from the depot its a 20 minute walk away

It will soon be in my hands then I'm going to the Apple Store Regent Street.

Yay!
 
TNT have just delivered my copy of Tiger...

The delivery guy said the only thing he had been doing all day was delivering small packages for Apple 😀 And when I had to sign the delivery sheet I could see Apple as the sender on all of the other deliveries on the page 😛

I bet TNT delivery staff wonder what the hell is going on today..

Which bit of the UK are you in Mark? I hope you told the guy to put a spurt on so we can all get our packages! 😀

I'm in Bristol. I don't think it will be the same guy delivering to Portsmouth 😀

At least I hope it isn't 😱

Hopefully yours will arrive soon. I assume it says 'Out for Delivery' on the TNT webpage ?

I know it's sad, but after years of having Mac OS X I just don't know whether I can change the language. I mean, not the keyboard layout but the language in which all dialogs, menus etc come in.

I'm pretty sure you can choose the language at the very beginning of the installation. I don't even think there are different versions of Mac OS X, well, probably the printed manuals might differ..

Yeah, been "out for delivery" since 8.49am! Fingers crossed it gets here soon!
 
SO GET THIS!

Through all the phone calls about my Tiger... and the fact that it was still at "Preparing Shipment" until I went to bed at 2:30 AM waiting for it to change...

Well needless to say, it shipped out three days ago now and is on a FedEx truck for delivery. All this drama for nothing! Why in the hell did it take Apple so long to tell me it shipped?

Don't get me wrong, I am SO VERY HAPPY (that I don't have to go to the mall).
 
yeah, i am kinda hoping i am in the same boat as you... i ordered my copy like 3 minutes after the apple store reopened on the day of the announcment, and mine isn't even preparing for shipping, it is still "processing order"... i just don't get it, but whatever. I have a feeling Apple is going to be getting an earful around 5 EST.

maybe it will magically appear at my door today, though.
 
good news

this morning my package FedEx package tracking said that it wouldn't arrive until May 2nd... so I check it again and the package is now OUT FOR DELIVERY!

The package went from Middletown to Memphis BACK to Middletown... and is scheduled to be delivered today.

Nice.

Despite my order still saying "Preparing Shipment," two copies of Tiger (plus one copy of Tiger Server) were just delivered to me!!!

I got my copy of Tiger @ 6pm today Sydney tiime got back home and installed it on my PB proud to say this is my 1st post using 10.4 Tiger.

Its great! Love tiger Spotlight is so very helpful and dashboard is so useful!

YAY MATT! I was hoping you would get your copies as well. I am still waiting on the truck but at least I know I will have it soon.

Congrats! After all of that you deserve it.

For me though, unless the FedEx tracking site is complete bunk, it won't be coming until Monday, despite the fact that I have not gotten an email from Apple yet.

Very sad. 🙁
 
An Apple Phone Rep told me that there would be some sort of compensation for those who pre-ordered and did not get Tiger as GUARANTEED on 4/29
 
It's been like Christmas here. Only minus the embarassing relatives!

Tiger turned up this morning while I was making my first coffeee.

And my new Powerbook got here about an hour ago. Time to fill in the up-to-date thing.

Tiger Roars in Turkey!!

I just got my Tiger and installed it..

it took about 20-30 min to "upgrade" it from Panther (10.3.9) (PB 15" 1.33Ghz 768mb Ram)

Spotlight took about 4-5 min to index. I was expecting much more, but it finished so quickly...

i was an ex-user of konfabulator but all i can say is "dashboard rocks!". That wave thing happens beautifully when i open a new widget and all widgets work really sleek! The only sad thing is that world clock doesnt recognize the city I live; Izmir.. I set it to Istanbul. The color even changes when its night time..

I can feel that Spotlight will change the way I compute alot. Mail has emerged alot, too. I'm so excited about using it now. I hope u guys will get it soon too..
