mmmmm!!!!! i think i scared away my chances of receiving it today, by wanting it so much! - especially 'cause an email said they were committed to getting it to me today! (well, now yesterday here).

I am trying to distract myself by watching some TV, and I swear, CNBC is going Tiger crazy. I just saw like 3 promos in a row for a Tiger segment that is airing as the "Page One" story. Everyone is raving about it. They even made their online poll about Tiger today:

Same Problems with Amazon?
Anybody having similar problems with Amazon orders that were supposed to arrive today? I just got this bizarre email from them after asking what was up...

Well...it is official. My copy of Tiger will not be arriving until Monday. I would like to say that I am never going to order from Apple online again. Unfortunately, that is the only way to get the student discount on software. I just wish the company wouldn't guarantee delivery unless it was going to meet it.

Turns out that the copies we received had DVD AND CD copies... interesting.
500 copies came delivered in 50 boxes! It took us two hours to break everything down.

my copy, ordered 5 minutes after the apple store online re-opened with tiger in it, isn't even "preparing"... its still "processing".

Does NOT work with Remote Desktop 1.x
After installing 10.4, I started testing existing software on my PowerBook G4 17".
Apple's "Remote Desktop" 1.2.4 does NOT work.
MUST upgrade to 2.x for operation. (Bummer).

I ordered two up-to-date copies. Both arrived today. Both ordered on 23rd April.
