FedEx is stupid. I'm in Colorado. My computer shipped "overnight" (Saturday to be delivered Monday). It shipped from California, as others have reported. But it arrived in Tennessee today. It's now gone from TN, I assume en route to Colorado.

For those of you who aren't from the US and don't know our geography (or those of you who flunked US geography) ... The US is about 3,000 miles long. California is on the West coast. Tennessee is maybe 500 miles in from the East coast. Colorado is about 1000 miles in from the West coast. WTF!?!?!

FedEx isn't stupid. Their air freight hub is in Memphis. Everything flies in and out of Memphis. When my last iMac came out of Shanghai, its delivery route was Shanghai->Anchorage->Memphis->Canada. How's that for roundabout shipping?

Much to the chagrin of my girlfriend, I refreshed the FedEx tracking page upon waking this morning around 7:10am. The latest - at 7:05am, my package is now "at local FedEx facility" in Bklyn! :D

I know what's going to happen. I'll get to work just after 9, refresh the page and see that it was delivered at 8:55a.

Same here... i had checked all the way until Midnight/1am Thurs night and nothing... checked again at 6am Fri and it was prepped. Crazy.

Apple.com now shows a 7-10 day ship time for systems configured with the Nvidia card. Last week it still said 2-3 weeks.

This is good news for us all!

Mine hasn't arrived to the local facility (it's in Jax), but should arrive to G'vlle any minute now... We're one of the first stops for FedEX, so it'll be a race. :D

Well, I just found out that my Mac Pro won't be delivered until tomorrow.

:(

I guess that I can handle one more day.

What's the interval between "Prepped" and "shipped"?

I first noticed my "Prepared for Shipment" notice at 7:45am. It's almost 2 hours later and still no "shipped". Has anyone figured out how much time elapses between "prepped" and "shipped"?

It varies. MIne took about 14 hours for the Mac Pro, but less than an hour for my MacBook Pro. There is no way to predict.

Order mine on Feb. 3 showed shipped by Feb. 26. Just checked and it is now prepared for shipment. Sounds like everyone that has been waiting should be getting their Mac Pro very soon.:) By the way I am switching from a PC to the Mac Pro. You will probably be seeing a lot of post from me asking for help.:D

Any news

Any news on if these work on the 2.0ghz range of Mac Pros?
I have an intel machine that wants a better card heh

I hope you don't mind of I ask which configuration did you order?
Thanks!

I phoned an Apple's rep and I told him again how disappointing the shipping treatment is. I already had a 2-3 day delivery from my first call and now got 75$ off.
