Holy crap, Exspes, that sounds very much like mine :D 3.2's?

I ordered at 9:45 am, FWIW

oh the pain...

Naw, 2.8's - although I'm a little jealous of your phat 3.2ghz pipes.

I've seen 50 pages of this thread fill up while clicking feverishly to refresh my order status only to come up with.. nothing. I'm so relieved. Hopefully it all happens within the next few days. They promised me next day air, but I haven't seen it on the site..

About time though. I have no much work that needs to be done, and it can be done so much faster on 8 cores :D

Mine is still marked "Not Yet Shipped"

Ordered Jan 15th
Estimated Ship Date: Feb 21
Base MP + 8800gt + Wifi

Interestingly my roommate ordered the same computer as me a week later and his Estimated Ship Date is Feb 14th

I ordered 20JAN, 8800 and two 500GB HDD. Everything else stock.

I'm still sitting with "Ships by Feb 20, arrive by Feb 21" :(

I've called three times to ask about it. They upgraded me to next-day shipping on the second call. :)

Every time I call I tell them that "friends of mine" ordered after me but received their computers already.

I really don't mind waiting, because it's been four years since I got a new computer, and another ten days won't kill me, but hey, calling every day makes me feel like I'm doing something productive.

Plus, I have a MacBook Air that left Shanghai yesterday, and I really wanted to get the Mac Pro up and running before the Air. Maybe I'll leave the Air in the box until the Pro arrives... That would be a little masochistic, eh?

If I see one more "I just got my 3.2 8800 that I ordered on the 3rd of Feb" post, I am going to throw something.

Agreed... We know, the machines are shipping, quit rubbing it in our faces.

Its like being first in line for concert tickets and when they open the window, they let the guy three quarters of the way down select first... wait, its worse, because we already paid... its like waiting at "will call" for front row seats you already ordered only to be told "sorry, we just gave your tickets away to someone else, but you can get tickets to tomorrows show?!?"

I'm with you, they gave me a ship date of the 14th, but dammit... don't give my machine to someone who ordered two weeks after I did... (calm down, you will get yours, calm down... you're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you...) ;)

And I was worried my OWC memory wouldn't show up in time :p

me too, although i checked the apple store today and shipping time for a cto mp with 8800 has gone down to 7-10 days...meaning i could order today and get a mp two weeks earlier!:(

Yeah, I mentioned that to the rep and he says don't do it because my order could slip more. He kept saying it could come earlier.

I don't know what to believe.

I think my computer is still in China or between there and here. Our orders probably got stuck on a big and slooowwwww ship with a not so reliable compass

Well, at least the 4x2's and the 1T Barracuda look all pretty on my desk.

I am about to start a "RAM and HDD unwrapping pics" thread, just to feel better.

At least it will show up with 10.5.2 installed. HAHAHAHA, yeah right.

hahaha, that's funny.

I haven't even opened the plastic bags yet. Figured it would be more fun to unwrap everything at once.

I do pick them up and look longingly at them once in a while though. Especially when my Macbook Pro with 2 gig RAM is choking on some raytrace rendering or a nice delicious 800 meg photoshop file.

The same thing was in my inbox today. I thought it was related to the MacBook Pro that I purchased in November - but apparently this really is about the MacPro that I ordered four weeks ago.

- Martin, MacPro ordered on 1/15, ships by 2/21

Wow... Apple would be "getting a new one" from me if that email came before my system even shipped!!! If anyone deserves $150 off their order. It is you!!

I ordered the 21s of january and called Sunday morning when the system hadn't shipped yet, I didn't dane anything but they offered free two day shipping and the system went to pending shipment that night. Fedex picked it up today and it will deliver tomorrow to San Diego, but unfortunately I'm in TN on business through thurs!

What I gotta wonder is... are the systems that are shipping today and later going to have 10.5.2 on them?

I just got home tonight and my beast was picked up for by Fedex at 4:21 PM Fullerton, CA time. It is a 2.8, 8800GT with everything else stock except wireless card, mouse, and keyboard.

It is expected to be delivered by Feb 13.

Woo Hoo !

my 3.0 / 8800GT shipped today and I will have it at home tomorrow night !!! Can this be true?

Got a 150GB Raptor on it's way to me too.

Got 16GB of 800MHz RAM from trans international. If someone buys from somewhere else, lets do a identical machine / different brand RAM benchmark to see if its really worth paying twice as much for "top shelf" RAM...

Quick question - it's probably somewhere in this thread but I'll ask anyway - how long between "prepared for shipping" and "shipped" and when does the credit card get charged? As in, since I'm in the prepared for shipping, should I be worried about my card declining purchase as fraud, etc?

Argh!

Called again today and spoke with Apple rep. Nothing substantive, other than a "Your computer is scheduled to ship pretty soon." Asked if I should reorder seeing as that would probably arrive earlier.

This is really frustrating.

Ordered 1/16, 2.8/8800/wifi

Same order date as you, man. Still waiting.

This is crazy but had to pass it on. When I called over the weekend to complain about not getting any love on ship status, I eventually talked with a supervisor who gave me overnight shipping and $150 off the total price.

Well, I got home tonight to see that my computer shipped at 3:44 PM from Fullerton, CA. But on the FedEx sheet it shows 2 day service. So I called Apple to see whats on...it should have be overnight.

I eventually had to call twice because the first sales person was having phone problems trying to transfer me to a supervisor. The second call resulted in an apology from the sales person for the shipping oversight. There was nothing they could do as the computer already shipped.

So what is a good sales person suppose to do...he knocked $100 off my price. So I will receive my Mac Pro 2.8, 2g, 320 HD, 8800GT, with wireless card, wireless mouse/keyboard on Feb 13, 2008 that I ordered on January 20. I will be receiving the computer 13 days earlier then was original posted as deliver date with $250 off the educational discounted price.
