Mac Pro Shipping Estimates (Feb Orders)

Woohoo! Mine arrived today!!!

Ordered Feb 13th, delivered on 20th: 2x2.8 (8-core) Mac Pro, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Nvidia 8800GT.

Just finished installing two extra hard drives and my spare SuperDrive, partitioning hard drives, copying all my old stuff across and getting all my prefs just right.

Thing's a screamer! Named it Woz :D
 
Ordered on the 18th with over night shipping (the less time it spends with UPS, the better). Status just changed to "Prepared for Shipment" within the last couple of hours.

What are the chances it will arrive by friday? It would be nice to have a weekend to play with it.

So Apple said it was shipped? Or prepared for shipment? My order went thru at 12:00pm (PST), on the 18th, though hasn't shipped yet (w/overnight).
 
dual 2.8 8800gt received

Ordered Feb 14 (valentine's day gift to myself - didn't tell the girlfriend...) received on Feb 19. Got it set up and updated this evening. Been working with and building PCs for 20 yrs, including all flavors of Dell, Compaq, Digital, etc, and homebrewed. Plus a mac mini and a macbook in the last 3 years. Have seen the Mac Pros in the stores and never really thought much about them. But WOW, unpacking it and opening the case to make sure everything was seated - this is really a great piece of industrial design and manufacturing. I think this was a great buy, considering the power (and the quietness, too).

Still need to order extra ram and maybe another drive for Time Machine, but overall, I'm really happy with this box! I will be spending a lot of time playing around with this before I get serious on the big project of transferring old home movie 8mm film to dvd.
 
Ordered Tuesday Feb. 12th arrived here in Oslo, Norway on Thursday 21st with the 8800 :D

I was told when I ordered it that it would take 21 days and it came in 9 :)

The 23 ACD is beautiful. I'm so glad I got rid of my 24" Al iMac ;)

Just hope it will all work now:eek:
 
My Mac Pro arrived today. Ordered it on Monday w/overnight shipping. Kudos to Fedex for getting me the computer on time, in one piece and barely a scratch on the packaging.

I bring Fedex up because I also ordered a 25.5" Samsung LCD earlier on the same day, using UPS's "Guaranteed 3-day service". Not surprisingly, it has yet to arrive and the kicker is, I ordered the monitor from CDW, which is in the same state as I. Everything delivered by them is always late, and/or trashed. Having a $700 monitor spend an entire week with them is where I draw the line. They never cease to amaze me -- I'm done with them.

I'm pooped (and obviously pissed), so the unboxing/pics will have to wait until tomorrow. Hope you all get yours soon.

Stock MP with 8800 and airport.

Anyone know if they are shipping with 10.5.2 yet?
 
i heard they all ship from california. even when they are shipping to canada. anyone verify that? I ordered on 14th and dont have it yet:(

I ordered mine on the 19th, estimated shipping 22-26. 500Gb HD + 8800 + WiFi + 30" ACD

I got "shipped" notification on the 21st but nothing since then. Okay, it's only 3 days but I thought I might at least have a tracking number by now. I suspect it's sitting in a half full container in Shanghai somewhere.

Still, estimated delivery is 3-6 March so I won't get too excited just yet. Only checking order status 4 times a day at present, this will ramp up by the middle of next week, to reach a work debilitating once per hour by the end of the week, but I'm cool, I can handle the wait :p

Great, so my mac pro is supposed to arrive today, but instead of it coming with the printer and applecare, it gets mis sorted and ends up traveling from Tamworth in the north, right past my door to Eastleigh in the south.

This is getting ridiculous :mad:
 
No, ridiculous is the Apple Store going down for upgrades I have no interest in.

How do I check my order status every 15 mins with the store down? ;)
 
Meh, shows me my MacPro arrived yesterday (or "Delivered soon!").

It's just picking up the last transit point. Thanks for the link though bud.

Now the Apple store is back up, I have K+N tracking numbers and "Syncreon Technology" numbers (who are they?)

None of them work in either K+N tracking sites or TNT tracking (but until they take delivery in Holland I wouldn't expect that).

The frustrating thing is that when I bought my last Mac Apecode still worked and I could see when it arrived in Shanghai, when it was booked onto a flight, when it left Shanghai, when it reached Europe distribution, when it transferred to european dispatch, when it went back to european distribution...etc...etc..

Now I'm not even sure if the MP has even left China. Don't even know where my ACD is coming from (Syncreon Technology?).

Still, I'm well inside my original delivery date so not fretting too much but I will have to arrange to be available for the drop-off so as much warning as possible would help.

Ordered Feb. 22nd, shipped on the 25th. Meh, though now I am kind of depressed. My MBP just became obsolete with the updates today, how long until the same happens with my not even arrived MP, :(

probably quite a while. Again on the plus side, your mbp is still awesome, its just not at the absolute top;)
