It sounds like you have more of issue with MacRumors rather than everyone in this thread. To us ignorant, readers, a headline involving a DJ and name we never heard means some guy that pushes a button on his laptop to play music at parties. Some would say that they qualify as a creative pro who would get early access to a new Mac Pro. Others would say that they are an overpaid button pusher with a lot of followers on social media. Either way, most of us will never be hearing his name again because he is behind the scenes so maybe when he gets a better publicist, he’ll get better titles and headlines too.
I LOVE THIS!
The term DJ no longer means Disc Jockey because today’s DJs don’t or very barely use discs of any kind (records, CDs MiniDiscs); not even seratto on digital coded vinyl ... most of these “house/trap/tech house” DJs or whatever the genre name is now used software on MP3s and like you said pressed the “sync” button during DJ’ing at parties the. Clubs the. Travel the world high as F at masses beach parties jumping to the high jumps of ravers or candy kids popping E, K, M or whatever Pez dispensing candy of the alphabet until they’ve completely forgotten not o yo their life problems and ambitions but also what planet they’re on until the random start conversations when their really sounding like jibber jabber mouths from Fat Albert.
Yeah been in the scene before it got me into a joke.
Calvin Harris is world known, makes crazy cash now because HE isin the k ow of kiddies and in the hype for now remixing (most of his credentials is remixing) music.
two tea producers who would really put a 2019 Mac Pro to real use and max out its capabilities:
Timberland worked with many artists created his own music and music style used by great artists (actually influencing their sound Justin Timberlake~ inspiring him to dabble into his own production~ One Republic and Nelly Furtado who’s taken a bit of a relaxation period for the past few years but you know both their sounds when they were on top of the charts. He’s remixed 2 entire albums of high school friend Missy Elliot. Has his OWN professional recording studio - not some mini lab in a condo as featured by Calvin Harris in this IG photo.
I mentioned 80’s BT DJ/producer as well For reference as Allen featured him in 2 major product launch introduction videos in the 90’s. I’ve listened to his creative work and although I detest it I’d wager he was just as if not bigger in his prime yet where is he now?
there is also world renowned and VERY respected DJ, producer and innovator that’s been in the industry for over2 decades - Lil Luis Vega but he doesn’t tend Apple to coax him he knows his craft and skill. You may know now him but look up his earlier work Masters At Work and you’ll see the wide range him and forme partner worked on. He’s much older now but again very well respected by peers both new and old and can mix and scratch and produce from scratch.
my point? I don’t see Apple going from featuring JJ Adams for a Mac Pro back in 2013 to Calvin Harris who’s be incredibly stupid enough to break NDA for a house part in a messy pic by some party goer. It just doesn’t seem right especially with how crappy that case top looks.

Why are you and others spreading false information? The PowerMac G5, or any of the cMPs, are NOT comparatively "almost as expensive as the new one."
The PowerMac G5 debuted at $1,999 in 2003. That is $2,493 in today's dollars.
The 2008 cMP can be configured to be $2,300 with a Wifi card and a quad core processor. That is $2742.86 in today's dollars.
The 2012 cMP wasn't a great value, but the quad core 3.2 had an MSRP at $2499. That is $2794.68 in today's dollars.
The new Mac Pro is $5,999.
debut cost is n the top end cost of the G5 btw.
2005 article from CNET:
The Apple Power Mac G5 received more than just a new OS in recent weeks. Not only do Power Macs come preloaded with the new Mac OS 10.4 Tiger, but they also offer faster G5 processors, better graphics, and larger hard drives. Read our First Take.

That’s in USA dollars without a monitor so where are you getting. Your pricing and where are you getting getting your math for “in today’s dollars” figures?
your facts seem to be very wrong just on the pricing back when the G5 was released to begin with. He’s the 2019 Mac Pro has a LOT more expand ability and is more expensive. I did say comparable not with every configuration.

I do. All I am saying is that IF the 16" MBP is going to be announced it will be alongside the Mac Pro.
So, I still remain optimistic about a possible Tuesday announcement.
And those that say definitely 2020, don't know crap unless they are getting the news direct from Apple.
fare enough.
