Macbook Air 2012 Order Status thread

My base 13" model shipped overnight and currently shows as "in transit" in Shanghai on the FedEx site. I ordered the SuperDrive and Microsoft Office in the same order and they shipped overnight as well both showing delivery dates of today. (They shipped stateside btw)
 
Mine just switched to Preparing for Shipment!

Still processing!! My guess is the education discount/ card has slowed things down. Ordered Monday around 4:00 ET. I thought I was paying that damn $14 to ensure I'd get it this week... Looks like that won't be happening.

Same Model/Configuration for me. Same Expedited Shipping, Same Status
 
I'm a bit irked that I paid the $14 and won't see it until next week. I figured with the "shipping today" slide at WWDC and the expedited shipping, Friday was a reasonable expectation. How did they not anticipate such high demand for 8gbs? And why are they checking into edu discounts (I also used this) themselves instead of just having an input field at order for a valid .edu address or school ID number or something as proof of education eligibility?
 
Just ordered one (13", 8GB) and it predicts arrival "21st to 25th of June".

Sigh!
 
Well, still processing at noon EST. I've got to go into work until 8pm, so hopefully by the time I get back, I will have a tracking number. Fingers crossed
 
I used the education discount and mine shipped already I dont think thats what is holding things up. It really seems to be everyone that upgraded to the 8GB of ram, which is reasonable considering its BTO. As is for any product BTO will take longer to ship than stock.

Mine shipped today and is expected to arrive on Monday, June 18th!
 
How long should i expect it to stay in preparing for shipping mode? it changed this morning, so should i expect it to ship today?

Mine was Monday 6pm till Yesterday @ 11AM ish in awaiting response status, and has been in processing ever since....nothings changed
 
Mine is ordered at this point - 13" with an i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and the 256GB SSD. I'll be out of town on a business trip through next Wednesday - it should be delivered shortly after I return.

Edit - the order took 2 days to go from processing to preparing for shipment
Edit take 2 - it looks like the 20th is delivery day, but since I won't return home until very late that night at the earliest, Fedex will have to redeliver the next day (when I will be working from home :) )

Possible but unlikely. My iPad 2 refurb shipped from China to Dallas in 2 business days however that wasn't during a rush period that they're no doubt experiencing now. It could happen but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

My iPad 3 had a similar scenario, and my MBA2012 11" currently has a nearly identical tracking/delivery status (just left Shanghai, ETA 18th). My iPad did arrive 1 day earlier than the FedEx ETA, and I *believe* the same happened for my MBA2010 as well. So here's to hoping that we get our MBA2012's on Friday :)
