I'm VERY curious about your setup.
Pioneers DVD-1200/1400's?
Serato sound card of some kind but I don't recognize the others on either end behind the MBA.

How do you find DJ'ing on the Air when at a jam ... do you use CD/DVD's exclusively or do you also use the MBA's storage for track/set capacity or an external USB or HDD?

I figure you've got the same MBA as I have 13" Ultimate but how do you feel about the performance?

Details pleeaaase!!

13" base model 2010

I use it as my daily computer. Works perfectly for me. I also have a 27" iMac, but i have rarely used it since my Air.

I only do light things on it like browse the web and create documents and keynote presentations, so it is perfect for me. I think I will probably upgrade to a newer air when i begin college, but for right now, this Air, despite its age, perfectly handles everything i throw at it!

I have not found a case i really like. i was going to get a speck case, but a lot of the reviews said that cracks developed on the corners and i do not want to deal with that. so, i am still looking.

1. Which MacBook Air do you have?
2011 11" - 1.6GHz i5 - 128GB

2. Is the Air your main computer? Do you use it along with an external monitor, another computer(s), iPad or ?
No, my main computer is a 2011 27" iMac - 2.7GHz i5 - 1tb...however, I'm thinking about maybe selling the iMac and getting a thunderbolt display...as soon as my thunderbolt cable comes in, ill hook it up to the iMac and act like its a thunderbolt display to see how i like it...

3. Use a sleeve, skin, speck case? What kind of bag or backpack have you found suitable for the Air's?
I use the apple box when i travel a long way. i feel its pretty secure :)

No, I have a Macbook Pro that I use as my main computer. It is hooked up to two 24" external monitors.

Do you have a case, sleeve?
I bought an Incase sleeve and that's about it. It just goes down in my messenger bag.

1. Macbook Air 11.6 middle 2011. 64gb and 2 gb ram
2. Yes, my air is my main computer. I don't use anything more then macbook. I have only iphone 4. No extra mouse, screen or smth else.
3. I have tuscon bag specially made for air.

Base 13" Mid 2011 Air.

With:

24" Samsung TA350 Monitor.
500gb Samsung Portable Drive.
Apple Wireless Keyboard, Mouse and Trackpad.
Audio Technica ATH-M50 Headphones.

Used as main computer at home, university and everywhere else! Carry it around in a nice incase sleeve + river island laptop bag.

No more cool setups ^^? I need some ideas for new things :D

2011 11" MacBook Air 1.8GHz i7 w/256GB SSD
Sonnet Echo ExpressCard Adapter
JMicron ExpressCard eSATA Port
160GB Intel 320 SSD in an external eSATA enclosure

Between the TB cable, Sonnet Echo, and eSATA card, that adds about $200, but hopefully that ExpressCard adapter will eventually get more use. I might add USB 3.0 when Sonnet gets the drivers sorted out.

I also have an iPhone 4s (32GB) and will consider the iPad 3 if it has the Retina Display. On the Air itself, I run Windows 7 64-bit in Boot Camp (80GB partition), and also have Parallels 7 installed (I run it more often as a VM). Purely as a hobby I also have Win 8 Developer Preview and Snow Leopard Server (in case I dig up old PowerPC software that looks interesting) running as VMs.

What's your setup consist of?

1. Which MacBook Air do you have?

2. Is the Air your main computer? Do you use it along with an external monitor, another computer(s), iPad or ?

3. Use a sleeve, skin, speck case? What kind of bag or backpack have you found suitable for the Air's?

Photo's WELCOME!

1. 2011- 13", 256, i7

2. Main Computer.
Have an old external monitor. Waiting for my thunderbolt/MDP adapter.
I have an iPod touch also (you listed iPad so....)

3. I use a blue incase sleeve.

Other accessories:
-WD My Passport External Hard drive (500gb)
-Macbook air Superdrive
-iHub
-USB > Ethernet adapter
-MDP > VGA adapter
-logitech M305 (mouse)
IMG_0007.jpg

1. 13", 1.7ghz i5, 256gb

2. I was going to use my early '06 15" MBP (1gb ram, 128gb hd, haha) as my home computer but the Air just makes it completely obsolete. I do have connections so I can run it through my 46" LED TV and surround sound though if I need to with wireless magic mouse and keyboard. I also have an iPad that I use in conjunction with it.

3. I use a Radtech screensavr and sleeve as well as a Timbuk2 messenger bag that I have also had since 2006. Little WD Passport that I really need to replace soon for backups.

1. Which MacBook Air do you have?

13" Late 2010, 2.13/4gb/256gb (Running Lion, and likely to be upgraded to the 2012 model for improved gaming/cooler running on daily tasks)

2. Is the Air your main computer? Do you use it along with an external monitor, another computer(s), iPad or ?

Yes. It swiftly replaced my perfectly capable PC when I first bought it and in the last couple of months I have upgraded things so that it now docks when I am at home to be a desktop, and quickly comes free to be used for travel/work etc. on a daily basis!

It connects to a 24" ACD, which has a Lacie 500gb Porsche Design HDD at its base. The MBA is mounted behind the screen and is totally invisible from the front by using a Twelve South BackPack and MBA Stand (see pictures). Then an Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad complete the package!

On top of that is the Onkyo 515 HiFi for cinema sound, and an iPhone 4 32gb (awaiting the 5, the 4S just was not enough to justify committing to another 18 month contract!).

3. Use a sleeve, skin, speck case? What kind of bag or backpack have you found suitable for the Air's?

Just an Incase MBA sleeve for when travelling, I like to keep all of my products (Apple or otherwise) unimpeded by cases when using them, so I won sleeves for all of my devices! I do also have a laptop backpack, and a larger laptop case I use.

That looks insanely dangerous

Not at all! The shelf is rated as holding up to 5 pounds (2.27kg), and the 13" MBA weighs in at a lowly 2.96 pounds (1.36kg).

Have had no trouble at all since I fitted it, it's not shifted once - and I take the MBA in/out at least once a day.

I guess the MBA wobbles slightly with desk movement etc, but nothing to worry about. Amazingly, the BookArc stand is just wide enough that its feet 'latch' either side of the shelf with a little bit of force, which you can just about see on the left/right of the picture. The feet are rubbery so grip well. All in all, works very well!

Ok then, i have the book arc too (see some posts above) but i use it on the table and that photo just looked terrific ^^ I wouldn't worry about the weight but just how close the arc fits on the stand. But i can imagine that with the amount of weight provided by the air and the stand it's quite stable. Also the twelve south products should be compatible..

Nice setup then, very clean solution!

By the way, i have a Littmann too ;) Master classic II black edition ;)

Ah! Yes, I just have the standard Classic II S.E., but my misses has the Cardiology master which I think I will go for when somebody steals mine!

Yeah I didn't buy them with the idea of using it how I did, but it was such a snug fit (literally needed some gentle persuasion by flexing the shape - no damage caused) that it seemed worth a try - and I'm very pleased with the results!

If you ever get a Mac or Cinema Display, it's worth giving a go! The twelve south stuff is beautifully made, too! Though your setup does look beautiful and inspired me to put mine up!

EDIT: Also, what do you think of the magic wand? I debated getting one but I think I prefer being able to position them separately...
