Man im getting confused, with cult of mac saying that lion will be released on the 26th but the MBAs will be released next week and no other site saying that lion will be released on the 26th. I thought they were holding back the MBAs for lion I doubt theyd now release them before. Im guessing Lion tomorrow and tuesday or thursday for MBAs

The 26th rumor comes from Apple's pictures.

Its a toss up when stuff happens right now. I'm waiting for Midnight PST, to see if Lion will be released this week, a head of the conference call, and then new products next week.

We'll all see.

What pictures, i didnt see any?

I hope this rumor for once is TRUE :)

Nice if they really do get backlit keyboard - very nice indeed :apple:

The one thing I miss in my MBA, beside a faster CPU, is backlit keys.

weird, my MBA has had a backlit keyboard for years !

did Apple take that feature away in the new MBA's ?

Laptops are for access to web/email while you're mobile. No one should expect a lightweight laptop to offer top notch performance.
I have low expectations of the MacBook Air. Now something with 4 RAM slots and dual hard drives in a luggable form factor is another story. I still eye the ASUS G74.

Today, I did pay too much - since only the EVGA card is available today.

Not much choice, though. I wanted a Fermi card that was single slot. The 520 cards are quite anemic, no other GT-5xx cards exist in single slot configs. More powerful dual-slot cards exist for lower prices - but not an option. ATI not an option - gawd I hate ATI.
The GT 545 while somewhat overpriced does those requirements. I would have suggested a single slot HD 5770 or HD 6850 if that would meet your requirements as well. The GT 545 does not require 6-pin power though. If you have two monitors on the GT 545, what is the third monitor attached to?

Now, the Apple Support Communities page is down for maintenance.

I'm sorry but, could this be to set up Lion support for a midnight release PST?

It'd be Friday and explain the "overnights" that were apparently tonight instead of last night....

A lot of people are getting excited I bet.
